My H&S Resonated Centre Section arrived today.... very Imprezzed and interesting to see that they use a resonator tube rather then the resonator/silencer box style adopted by Magnex and Janspeed.

It looks so nice I'm not sure whether to put it on the car or hang it on the wall ....

I wrapped my H&S donwpipe and un-resonated 'Magnex' centre with heat-wrap to deaden the tinnie rattle noise that can occur when cold. Wrapping the centre mad a bid difference.

Looking at the new resonated centre I'm not sure it will need to be wrapped....any thoughts anyone ?????

Fitted my H&S centre+rear during my lunch break at work :-D

I had a slight problem with the connection between the centre and read section - the flanges are slightly curved meaning there is a slight gap/leak in the middle. I'm hoping a new gasket might be able to seal it.. Did anyone else have this problem?

Slowboy - the noise is awseome! I havent even got to testing out the performance capabilities yet because i am grinning so much. The difference between having just the dp and then fully de-cat is unbelievable. When i got it fitted Angie said "wait till Rich hears this, he'll be itching to do the same"! Whens the next meet?

Derek - as above, and how did the dp fitting go? You are probably out enjoying it and scaring other drivers!

What a noise eh?!

I floored it in second going through a tuule near my home with the window down and nearly s..t myself!!!!

The downpipe was really difficult actually but we got there. Much easier fitting the new pipe without the cat in the way!

Hi All !
Been so busy i haven't actually got round to fitting the decat centre pipe in yet! The H&S quality looks as good as usual though.
I look forward to feeling if there really is much difference in power and noise by taking the centre cat out from just having been decatted in the downpipe for a few months.

Anyone know what BHP gain is added by the decat centre? I know the full decat system is about a gain of 30BHP, but what does a decat centre add?

sorry p/smurf, cant help u with that one but be assured there should be a difference in the noise with the straight thru centre. My neighbours look at me now in a completely different way...

Derek, i know the feeling - going thru tunnels takes on a whole new enjoyable meening now! My wife can now hear me pulling into our street 1000 yds away.

Not a huge gain in power from the centre, but could be around 7-10bhp I reckon.

great got it 2 days after ordering
one snag the rubber mounts on my00 turbo is way too big for the hangers so the system is now all lose any one else found this . otherwise its ok new gasket and new front bolts which snapped off where needed

fitted my down pipe last weekend, can't beleive how much power its got now well happy

...got my centre section fitted along with four new G/Year F1s.....then reversed into telegraph pole! Sounds very, very good though!! and handles lovely
The exhaust note is now a much deeper burble with the H&S centre section to go with the H&S downpipe and Ninja b/b.

Car now being repaired.
