As you know Hayward & Scott make the original Scoobysport back box and i am looking for anyone interested in a group buy for the classic 3.5" bb with any centre sections thrown in of course. We need a minimum of 10 people, and the prices are as follows:

Back box £220 incl. VAT
Centre £65

I will be going for BB & centre

anyone else??

stevem2k 05 December 2003 11:56 AM

I take it you liked the downpipe then :D

pedro72 05 December 2003 12:04 PM

just a wee bit...
got all excited and now i want the full de-cat!
How about you?

Scooby Snacks 23 05 December 2003 12:56 PM

Thanks for replying to my other post Pete - I'd be interested in the centre pipe if it was reasonated.

I don't think it is, but I'll keep looking around for info.

scoobyexhausts 05 December 2003 01:11 PM

We could make one with a resonator in if required.

Scooby Snacks 23 05 December 2003 01:45 PM

Ian - are you part of H&S then or you doing the suppyly for the group buy?(excuse my ignorance!)

scoobyexhausts 05 December 2003 02:46 PM

Scooby exhausts is the Subaru department of Hayward and Scott of which i am the Manager.

willy 05 December 2003 03:00 PM

Could you quote for a middle section with silencer then?

Thanks
Willy

scoobyexhausts 05 December 2003 03:19 PM

It will be an additional £75 + the vat

Ian

Scooby Snacks 23 05 December 2003 03:20 PM

Thanks Ian - in that case, I will definitely be up for centre pipe with reasonator. Can get directly from you or via Pete's group buy?

It seems Willy and I are after the same thing :)

scoobyexhausts 05 December 2003 03:46 PM

Normal all the names are added to list on the thread so everyone can see how it is growing and make sure the numbers get reached ,then ring us up and give us your details and we send out, as they are being consistently made and are 99% always in stock ,nudge nudge, wink wink.

...Count me in for a straight thru' centre section for £65.
Sounds good value to me. Have been very pleased with my open neck down pipe.
What power gains and noise increase can i expect by adding a decat centre to my already decatted down pipe and Ninja b/b on my UK Classic. A full decat will add about 30bhp....is this so?
What can i expect by adding the decat centre?

smurfy.

scoobyexhausts 06 December 2003 06:57 AM

The sound won't change much ,maybe a bit deeper. The power increase you mentioned will be in total with a de-cat system.

UkNuck 06 December 2003 03:21 PM

Pedro72, not sure when you say 'classic' do you mean for the classic shape scoob or just that the H&S is a classic piece of engineering :) ? I have a 2002MY bugeye wagon.

Ian - I am in Ontario, Canada. Can you ship here? Any idea how much would that cost?

I can pay in UK funds - still have bank/VISA back in the ol' country.

pedro72 06 December 2003 04:35 PM

UkNuck, i was meaning the classic shape but Ian from h&s would have to make a decision as to wether he will do u a bugeye version and arrange shipment etc.

The list so far:

1.Pedro72 - bb and centre
2.Scoobysnacks23 - centre w/resonator
3.Willy - centre
4.Pappasmurf - centre
5.UkNuck - bb & centre??

Mad Gypsy 06 December 2003 05:32 PM

What will the total price be for back box and centre inc vat and p+p?
As could be interested.

pedro72 06 December 2003 06:30 PM

Mad Gypsy, total price for bb & centre is £285(incl.vat) but i dont think that includes p&p. I'll find out for you. Hope this helps

Pete

willy 06 December 2003 09:15 PM

Just centre so far...Ive already got a BB.

Willy

SlowBoy 06 December 2003 09:49 PM

If it helps then last time around p&p was £15, that was quoted for a dp.

RaymondH 07 December 2003 07:23 PM

Is the H&S centre with resonator any quieter than a Magnex centre with resonator?

pedro72 08 December 2003 10:34 AM

Not sure but Ian from H&S may be able to help. You can call him on - 01268727256

Any one else interested in this buy??

Robin MY97Wagon 08 December 2003 06:11 PM

Oh well, I picked up my back box and centre from H&S last wednesday at the full price.

Anyway, these exhausts are beautifully made, sound gorgeous, are very easy to fit and truely deserve their reputation. Since fitting them, I have not turned the stereo on once. That deep rumpling offbeat bass is great.

If this group buy is struggling for numbers, is it possible to creep the scope to include downpipes as well? I might even be tempted by one of those downpipes with a built in hi flow catalsyt. Any thoughts???

MarkB1 08 December 2003 06:29 PM

can a back box and centre decat for a subaru forester s turbo MY 2002 (not new shape) be made up and how much. There is three sections to the exhaust excluding the down pipe. Is it possible to quote on a sports cat for the down pipe, I dont fancy changed it every time to pass exhaust emmissions.

willy 08 December 2003 06:36 PM

So hows this group buy going then?
Any timescales yet?

Willy

drb5 08 December 2003 06:39 PM

any chance about getting a 4.5 inch tail pipe instead of the one that was quoted? what size bore is the centre section?

Dremel 08 December 2003 07:01 PM

I'd like a centre section & back box for my MY98 GTB.....can I be included in the group buy?

Jon.

pedro72 08 December 2003 09:20 PM

I shall give H&S a call tomorrow so as to answer all your questions and then we can fix up a list with a real cut off date.
Cheers

Pete

pappasmurf 09 December 2003 11:09 AM

BTTT............to anybody contemplating an exhaust upgrade, this is a good group buy deal for a quality system. You know it makes sense :D

pappasmurf 09 December 2003 05:13 PM

BTTT.

Derek FKS 85 09 December 2003 05:26 PM

Can you give me a total for full decat system please. Also am I going to find the centre too noisy without a silencer?
