I assume to host I only need to have the track unlocked, there is no other special requirement?

 

You only need the track. Probably best that I don't host as I keep getting kicked off Live, can't work out why.

 

That was happening to me as well last week Jack, (even though the cable connection was still up and running ok). Seems to have been ok for the last few days though. Perhaps they were having a few problems....

 

Still happening here. Even playing single player I get logged off of Live after about half an hour. Racing on live about one in every four races gets cut short. Very annoying.

 

Ok, I'm on ADSL so if it's a cable issue it shouldn't affect me. Do I need to ensure all the names are friends and setup the game accordingly? I will get online tomorrow by 8 so we can get some practice in

If anybody wants to invite me as a friend (Picnic)I will accept them tomorrow, when I will also upgrade the Live Dashboard (been a while since I've used it)

Bit tied up tonight with a league race in GPL, so it will have to wait.

Just realised I've played this entirely on the chipped Xbox so need to copy the saved game to the Live one. Hopefully this will be OK but I have not be able to host.

Ok, copied the game across and updated the Live Dashboard stuff. Had a quick go on Live and got my bottom kicked Now got a Live Kudos Ranking Level of 2.

Jezz, I seem to be talking to myself a lot

Couldn't get into my GPL league race last night for some silly reason, so went back on PGR2. Hosted about 10 races at various places without a hitch. Invited the peeps who said they are joining in to night who were not already on my Friend's list.

Got PG2 yesterday along with an xbox live kit, as soon as I figure out how to use it i'll be along

I'm tempted... I may have to see what the sales are like in January tho

 

I don't see why mods aren't allowed to play after all if your distracted playing the games the deviants can post corrupting messages

It was indeed good racing, except for the rather too frequent disconnection of drivers. Last I saw of Gutgouger was the bottom of his car flying over mine

Hi Picnic. Well just as I was doing that, we had a massive power cut which lasted until around 7am this morning, so sorry for the rather abrupt exit (typical that this should happen just as live had decided to stop disconnecting me)

Good racing while it lasted though. We'll have to do it again sometime soon

Just coz your xbox is crack don't mean you can't go on live, just make sure

• Your mod chip is switched off
• Your hard drive is locked
• Your playing a legite game

Ive just bought this game, how do i get the ring?

 

Two options nozzer...

1) Complete all the stages from the single player world series
2) Connect to xbox live, play a multiplayer game on the ring against somebody who has the ring unlocked (they have to be hosting it), and win the race.

 

The 'Ring is pretty tricky as the map is so small you have to learn it - think I have most of the bits where you have to slow down commited to memory now though

I would be up for a game or two maybe - John McC is my tag I think - although I have many of you on my friends list from days gone by I think (moto GP 1 & 2 ).

Been a glut of good 'Live' games recently and having been naughty and bought most of them I'm chopping and changing a lot! Just got Links and am preparing to see what all this XSN stuff is like.....if its any good and any of you guys have any XSN titles maybe we can set up a league or something?

 

I was thinking of getting Links. If it's any good let me know and I might get it (and perhaps we can set something up).
