Jonny Gav got my old one and it was a lot of work.
Respectfully suggest that if we can buy FMICs at a good price then that has to be a far better option.

Gentlemen: Went to the bank and transferred £1500 (converted to $ U.S.) less charges for bank transfer, to the Hybrid account. As I did not get there until 2pm the transaction will not be processed from London until tomorrow but at that time everybody will know the $ amount they have paid off the total price of 708$.

At the same time I paid the full $708 for my intercooler and $1416 for the two for David in the Netherlands.

I will now advise Honk Kong to expect the funds tomorrow or perhaps Friday because of time zone and banking differences.
I will post tomorrow evening when I have the actual $ amount sent to H.K.

On confirmation of funds in HK I will give them a list of participants and delivery addresses.

I will contact each participant starting in datal order of requirement of intercooler with contact details and other info and all those requiring immediate delivery will have an e-mail over the week-end.
Regards,
Harvey.

Gentlemen: Further update.
My bank says funds are transmitted and it works out at 172$ each. This leaves a balance of 536$. As it is now evening in Hong Kong I will relay this information to them and expect confirmation of receipt tomorrow (Friday) Providing everything goes to plan, those of you with an immediate requirement will be in a position to arrange transfer of the balance of funds from the beginning of next week onwards and request delivery when funds clear.
Some of you may wish to wait until the first three units are actually received.
At todays exchange rate and after UK tax/duty the final price looks like £500 plus bank charges.

Thanks for all these compliments guys but the time for that will be when we have all successfully received our kits and most of us have them fitted. I must also point out that I came into this group buy at a late stage and I think it is the only group buy I have been involved in and my intention was simply to stop it drifting about but this is Catalunya`s thread who has also done work and Mark A. did a lot of work before I came on the scene, so without both of them this buy would not be happening and I would have bought something else by now.

I have e-mailed Hong Kong to say that my bank has advised me of transmission of funds. I expect to hear back tomorrow morning and will keep you all posted.

Starting from 282bhp is good and the spec should result in a good power hike. Let me know if I can help you sourcing bits, check prices or give further input.
Suggest you also have some form of AFR guage. Cost £50 upwards eg Autometer.

Hong Kong have acknowledged my e-mail relating to transmission of funds from London but as yet the money is not in their account. As it is now evening in H.K. nothing will happen until Monday but I will push the matter over the week-end and send names and delivery addresses for all participants and as soon as funds are confirmed, make contact with everybody individually.
I have also chased my bank but these delays are not abnormal.

Update : Most frustrating day. Picked up an e-mail at 10.00 saying that there was an inadequate detail with the bank transfer and unless I faxed the remittance advice slips immediately, funds would be returned to sender. These were faxed within minutes with a cover stating that this could not be the case, all information had been given correctly and please specify any deficiency. When I get in tonight there is an apology along the lines that it was somebody else`s funds where the confusion had arisen and I had been contacted in error but they would keep us posted on the state of play.
I have e-mailed back asking for specific confirmation of receipt of funds pointing out there is no way our funds are not in Hong Kong now.
If I do not have a response 10.00 Wednesday I will see if it is possible to phone Hong Kong.
Regards,
Harvey

Gentlemen :
OK, I have had a constructive discussion with our man in Hong Kong who assures me he has not yet had the funds, accepts they "are in the system" and went on to say delays at his end at this time of year especially, were not uncommon and he would chase up with his bank. He apologised again for the confusion yesterday.
He went on to say that the intercoolers for the group buy were polished finish and if anybody wanted an unpolished intercooler there would be a price reduction. If any of the 15 remaining participants want their intercooler unpolished please advise by e-mail with a deadline 08.00 Monday 29th December. At that time I will be very disappointed if everything is not up and running.
Happy Christmas to one and all. Best wishes for 2004.
Lang may yer lum reek.
