Harvey.... your right i'm a cheeky bar steward . However i did show a lot of interest on the orginal thread way back in October. My thinking in the end was i'd miss this GB and jump on the next one due to it being christmas etc. But this GB seems to have be a little drawn out for various reasons and i need one for March/April. So thought i'd give it a go... if you don't ask you don't get etc.

I must say tho that your (and Mark A, Catalunya's) efforts are very much appreciated for organising the group buy.

Looking at the kit... i'd say the only thing that you will need to do extra on pre97 cars is to make the front hole in the inner wing (post97 cars have these already there). The turbo inlet pipe looks like it will sneak over the intercooler pipes without problem (famous last words)

Tony.

Talking

when i got home i found a fmic waiting for me.
well done all involved
couple of things that i can see that need doing
a)find a kit to fit my dump valve(1.5inch opening)

b)ive slipped a samco intercooler pipe over the top of the hose supplied,so i would imagine its going to be a very tight fit.

I made payment about a week and a half ago. Sent a follow up e-mail to Mr Chan earlier this week asking for an approximate delivery date but I haven't heard anything further either.

I'm very tempted to jump in & order one for the next group buy there's just a couple of points I'd like some views on from people who have already fitted it.
- is the throttle response or lag affected in a negative way
- is there any cutting of bumper etc needed to fit
- will it fit on a car with aircon
- does it give a significant power hike without changing anything else.
(Currently have a MY98 running a VF35 with a std top mount which is probably at it's limit)
Cheers
Mark

Mark, you'll need to get a remap after fitting at the very least. The charge will be denser, which means at the same fueling, you'll be running too lean.

Also, as far as i'm aware, there will be some bumper cutting. Nothing drastic though i shouldn't imagine.

Cant see lag being affected in a negative way either.

(waits for someone to prove me wrong)

could the fuelling not be sorted with an adj reg - still runs rich at the mo - have knocklink & AFR to keep an eye on things.
Cheers for input

Was hoping for some comments from someone who's actually fitted this cooler.

Just received a tracking number from Mr Chan.

So at least i know it's on it's way.

I tried to track it, but it didn't recognise the number..probably a delay in the time it takes to get on the website..

I'm getting excited now !!

Mine was Parcel Force, if you go onto their website HERE then enter your international tracking number from Hybrid remembering to tick the international box it will then let you know its status. If its being held import duty is likely the reason as this was the reason in my case.

Just had confirmation that the duty charge is £122.64 Hasn't anyone else had this?
Thinking of the possible upcoming group buy part II,
can anyone that has received the whole package be so kind and let me know the total price, I mean including all the charges (shipping, VAT, customs duty) ?
Also, I've tried to read the whole thing here, but could have missed something... ... was the price for the unpolished set 608USD including or excluding shipping ?

Thanks !

I've ordered an uprate pump, but still not sure which FPR to go for. Will only be running up to 1.5 bar boost... initially anyway

Any suggestions?

Mine was unpolished and came to $613.72USD but I have also had to pay £122.64UK Sterling import duty on top of this so all in I have paid $831.65USD for mine.

jlanng - Harvey posted this on page 19 of thread :-

As regards pressure regulators there are two main choices. The SX from the United States which is rated to 6 bar and the FSE rated to 5 bar. For those running boost of 1.5 bar or below the FSE will be satisfactory but at 1.7 bar or above the SX is the best choice. Generally you run 3.25 bar over the boost ie. you are pulling 1.5 bar of boost you want 4.75 bar fuel pressure.

Cheers

Johnny:

i do not know what happens if you try to do two - i assume that the credit limit is only reached during the period of the transfer. i don't want to confuse Mr Chan, so i would rather have funds in place and transfer in one go.

i may well phone Harvey tomorrow if i can not resolve as Dawn is a bit of a whiz at this from what i gather.
