Ahhh guys you've really spoilt my day, I always convinced that Honda's were like tanks, I suppose there are always a few that fall through the web, maybe the inspector had a hang over or something or the robot needed some grease

I have a fantastic article from Evo saying how much they love the ITR, a true drivers car that revs to 9k revs and doesnt' break!

Hmmm now whether to go and read what you say, or just cover my ears and sing "i am not listening, I am not listening, la la la, la la la" LOL!

I think Japanese built Hondas probably are. I think it's because the Japanese do not have in their vocabulary/mentatilty phrases lik "oh, f**k, that'll do" or "Bollox to it, it's Friday" or "get a bigger hammer, then it'll fit" or .........etc. etc. etc.

Mini has certainly had a few build quality problems.

I honestly don't know, but they used to build the Rover 400 alongside the old Civic at Swindon. Interestingly, although the cars went down the same line, the Civic had different starter, alternator etc. etc. because the parts specified by Rover for the 400 were deemed to be of too low a quality for a Honda Says it all, really!

I took out a mint teg the other day, was selling for £13k, 27k miles, red, black wheels, booootiful.

Felt solid as a rock inside, very well put together, and it was awesome to drive, was blown away with the noice, and performance, ride a little harsh, but yet even though the body gets shaken around so much, there wasn't many squeeks, and rattles from the itnerior.

Did anyone see my post of the turbo charged one in the states 480bhp that was crazy, spoke to the guy said it's pretty reliable! maybe you should of turbo charged it! But then I have heard of people mod'ing their scoobs to 500bhp odd, and using them everyday with out major drama!

Suppose alot of it has to come down to the maintence of the preivious drive, and weather they drove it hard from cold, etc etc.. Anything falls apart if it's not looked after..

My wife has had her Jazz for just over a year now. Only problem is the minimum 40mpg! Went to Duxford in the summer 100 mile round trip, averaged 57mpg. Thats going thru the lanes and back by motorway.

I actually prefer it a lot of the time for town driving.

Would recommend it to anyone.

group 3 ins, wife pays £220 pa full comp.

Only downside is no CD player, the Honda options started at about £400. I am trying to find an aftermarket supplier who makes a patch lead from the std head unit.

Unfortunately you're always going to get duff cars rolling off the production line. At the moment though it seems that Jap cars are top in a good few surveys so Honda rightly has a good reputation. Mine certainly feels solid and well made. I've had a few minor niggles but the dealer was excellent in sorting them out.

I do feel for the guys that have duff CTR's but, without knowing the whole story, it's difficult to say whether the dealer is at fault or the customers approach to the problem.

Minimum of 40mpg!!! excellent.
The current 1.4 iDSI SE and SE Sport have a CD player as standard now. We went for the SE over the SE Sport as she wasn't bothered about side airbags or alloys for now, and she wanted some other options so we got them instead.

I'm quite looking forward to see it with all the bits on this weekend.

Still thinking about the Mugen kits.
