kev mate i tried to call u 3 times since last week u shut for a week mate

i needed advice, coz i havent got a dogbox i dont want my revs to come down when shifting up using the clutch but someone mentioned a ignition thing from omex that when u change your gears and use the clutch it holds the revs and doesnt let it drop and u can change gears at full throttle, does it help or is it bad for your car

cheers

Moses Sam is my hero

IIRC, I don't think Dave Gammon ran on the top speed did he or even on the 1/4mile ?
His car has a very expensive suspension set up on it and he was running the latest tarmac rally tyres, that's what makes the difference on the handling circuit. You can't use any more than 400bhp on such a tight circuit (just as well for Dave with Sam tuning it) you just need good throttle response, the anti-lag helps considerably here.

Now, if JF had 400bhp instead of 300bhp and was to spend £2500 on suspension, £800 on racing tyres, £1500 on an anti-lag ecu, fill it with pure racing fuel and then spend the whole day practicing..........perhaps he could have knocked a second or two off the one and only timed run he completed that day

Sam - Do you still twitch when you see Maestros and Fiestas in your mirrors

A Subaru did win one prize.....Fastest Subaru

Anyway, lost the plot, this thread is not about who has the fastest mate, it's about Kevs Cossie, Keiths Skyline and my Scooby all being MUCH MUCH MUCH faster than Moses's(and Sams) square old slug EVO

he did not use antilag, did not need to no enough competition

it is a fair game, the suspension was on loan !! but this what you have to do.

ok so here is the plan for me then to fit in with all of you guys.

next event, i will have , semi slicks, race fuel, nitous and run a good 2.4bar of boost. do one good run and then maybe i will be accepted

to be honest i could not be bothered with that. i love my car now, it is very different from what it was at totb. alot quicker!!

sam
ps if driving my square shaped evo is not enough to excite, i usually get a bj while i am driving to add to the experience. saves all this money

pps and it is not from moses either before anyone says it

lol @ Sam getting a bj to increase the excitement level in the dull EVO

How did the DMS 50 suspension compare to your own car Sam ? I know yours is not a bad handling car, was there a big difference ? Worth the money in your opinion ?

Andy

ps Did you get the Apexi sorted out ?

LOL@ andy

moses the ammount the revs drop back between gearchanges is dependent on your ratios..not whether the box has dog engagement or you are changing using a full throttle shift kit

you best speak to simon about it...i wont be able to advise you on evo transmission...i only do fast motors

what ever it takes andy to get me excited these days :d

my car has not been handling right at all for a while. the eibach springs i have fitted knackered the shocks. i was getting knocking noise on right hand corners followed by lose of traction.

i have got proflex now.

dave's dms is obviously very good, but the car was fully set up by a rally team. so i am sure that also had something to do with it. it is irish tramac spec rally suspension.

the car that came second also was running proflex set up by BTR another rally team.

the gtir is finally working there was alot of other issues going with it at the same time so hopefully it will be mapped tomorrow or thursday.

lol andy how can u even compare your car to sams a car that weights 1450 kg with him in it about 1600 and your car 1100 kg and with u in it probably 1200 max and u had more power that day and no way is your car faster than mines and never will be not your scoob anyway maybe your evo

and kev of course u only do fast cars that have 600 bhp with nos it will be a pleasure pi55ing over u without a dogbox or a seqential box pmsl
