Yes i had one at 18.
1.3 sr

top fun when your young

But the Bugger always cut out when cold and refused to start for 5 mins after.You had to keep the revs up and stop on the handbrake for the first 5 mins of driving

Bleedin Solex carb was the prob i think !!

Sold for a 1.6 pug 205 gti.blew engine and replaced with 1.9
scoob soon followed at 20

Bleedin Solex carb was the prob i think !!
Was a Pierburg actually, but yes they did give trouble with the auto-choke and mine got binned and replaced with a twin-choke Webber, which really improved it!

I'm a fan.

First car was also a G-reg 1.4SR in mistral grey with GSi alloys (well the three spokes anyway...)
