PS Rollers aren't low... they are realistic!!

Many times have I seen totally standard BRAND NEW cars run @ PowerStation to within a couple of BHP of their stated figure... for me that shows accuracy!

I mean, if you actually look at ALL of the figures from that day you will see that some cars made what they expected, some a little more... it's only ever the people who get LESS than they expected (or have been told by a 'tuner') that b!tch

I was actually there on the 6th and ran my white Evo 5 up (number 24 on the results list) and was well chuffed with 302bhp and 274lbf-ft considering the car only has a cat back exhaust and a HKS panel filter... maybe I should go to another dyno and get a 350bhp figure then?!

But, as is always said on almost ALL the forums over and over again... the figures only really mean anything if you use the SAME dyno to chart modifications and tuning to your own car... there is NO POINT comparing the figures from one Dyno to another as they will rarely be the same

Anyway, top one to Fuzz and his 386bhp run... not bad for a Uk car

Cheers
Jon

Rob edited list to include Julian. Well said Jon. my last car 99my turbo was pretty much standard and the result was 238 so they appear to be down to earth fiqures.
I just hope all those that went enjoyed it as much as me. 20 scoobies together is what its all about. not mines better than yours.

With regards to Interpro rollers, was there yesterday with a mate at a (dare I say it) Ford RS day, and an Engine Dyno'd Escort Cosworth @ proven 500BHP made 496BHP there! I would say that was pretty acurate Sounded mental too.

Ps, Thanks to Ken for organizing Saturday even tho I was disappointed with my results!

What have i started
I know Powerstation are very accurate not 100% but almost, thats why i'm pi$$ed off with my car and with all the warranty issues with it i don't want it no more hence the dealership is finding me a CTR as a replacement.

IMHO PS rolling road is damn near spot on for standard cars.

Last time I was there my old 118bhp decatted Elise made 124bhp

6bhp for a decat? Spot on mate!

Fuzz

Good figures for PS - think I got 383 and 312 I think.......... but thats before the latest mods on Jan 17th - shoud give me about 10-20bhp more on the current turbo!!!

Then I'd hope top hit 400bhp at PS

Fuzz

What Turbo are you running as you must be on boost lower than 1.5 bar on standard internals?

Is it the Bob Turbo?

If you can get this on standard internals not much point in spending the wad required to uprate the internals for the performance gains - max out at 500ish at PE = 440bhp at PS..........

Fangoria,
Yes it's a "Bob" Turbo.

Boost wise, we are having a little difficulty keeping the boost down at the mo, wastegate duty cycle was 8% and it didn't want to go lower than 1.4 BAR.
Bob tried adjusting the actuator arm, without much sucess.

I would like to see how far the standard interals will go.

Edit to add : according to the defi's, the boost is creeping as far as 1.65 BAR when you cane the life out of it.
