rolling road day at powerstation 6th Dec
Hi Shep, the plan is to leave national bike museum at 7:30am and leave Strensham services Worcester at 8:30am to get to powerstation for 9am as they want the first car on the rollers at 9:30am. They have been busy putting Gatso camera's on M42 but we should make Strensham by 8:15am
Powerstation should get through five cars per hour so looking at 2:30pm finish

doh Mikee!!!!
do you need 3rd gear?
i've heard your sort of conversion means there is plenty of torque - just use 5th
seriously though, its a shame we won't catch up. maybe next time and i hope the gearbox doesn't cost too much!

Nice one Ken
Shame I couldnt control my fuel cut, never mind the fitting of the Phase and TEK 2 PE ECU Group Buy will sort that out then I will be closer to your 300 BHP

Hi Neal, good turn out today. some interesting results. I will post them up later. Good luck trying to catch up with my 307 bhp
we got back a lot quicker than it took us to get there. must have been the traffic
we scooby drivers don't exceed speed limits do we?

"Where did all the scoobies go?!"
Well I arrived on time, only to find I was Billy-Nissan-No-Mates...
I saw a group of the boys leaving, and waved but obviously being in the Nizzy I wasn't exactly conspicuous. Anyway, at least Rich was pleased to see me! (And my £25!
). Straight on the rollers as follows:

Results:
174 bhp @ Flywheel
127 bhp @ Rear wheels
158 lbs/ft
All achieved on cheap *** Tesco 95RON, and a motor with 105K miles on the clock!
Once I get some monster brakes on it, I'll improve power (and especially torque) by a decat downpipe and dawes device.
Regards to Ken for organising - Sorry I didn't get to meet you!
Squizz.

Yo, how's it hanging guys, hope u had a great day and everyones cars are ok
Been on my own fun day today to check out what the recent changes and remap by Matt and Bob have achieved, quite impressed
car boosting much higher now so much that in 5th and 6th gear she's going off the gauge to about 2.15 bar
managed 437 bhp at 6063 rpm with 395 lb torque, only gets to 1.7 bar on rollers though, not enough air to car
Many thanks to Well Lane, Bob Rawle and of course Roger Clark Motorsport

Many thanks to
Ken for organising a top morning
Shep, Jullian, Ken and the other P1 we caught up with on the M5 for a fun ride home. Even though I was Kangarooing like Rolf Harris's bit of fluff on the side due to fuel cut and with my Blitz beeping like Road Runner on steroids trying to prevent it.
And a big thanks to Rob and Sausage fingers Dave for getting my car ready for a pre ECU fitting run. Great job lads
Cheers

Thanks again to Ken for organising this.
Ny figures are way down it should be 237bhp and 260lb/ft of torque this was the final straw for me and my car.
I've had it ten weeks and its been nothing but trouble with numerous problems and the dealer does'nt seem to be bothered to fix it....So i went there straight from Powerstation and got them to get me a replacement car, CTR here i come!!!
Nice meeting you all some awesome cars there.

don't be too disappointed m8, powerstation is well known throughout all car clubs as being low
if u go power engineering and well lane they are proper figures,
powerstation tell you that they are 'keep em happy figures', but their machines actually calculate transmission losses and don't estimate losing say 20%, think you'll find some peoples rollers guess flywheel figures.
if you take a genuine ppp car done by prodrive, you will always find they do "exactly what it says on the tin".........paying that much for ppp and prodrive being who they are, they would want you to check and prove they are right. ppp's never seem to make it at powerstation
...........anyway they kept me happy, now where's powerstations number, must book rollers and find my car is 'actually' only 295bhp

Thanks again for organising the day Ken - it was worth the drive down. Steady drive back eh Kev??
Scott - happy with the BHP figures, was still climbing slowly so he reckons it would have hit the 300 anyway. Used NF but hadn't had it in long so don't know if would have adjusted itself at that point. Torque figures need looking at tho '
- watch this space !!

Gadet Daz,
Do you just make this stuff up ?
Powerstation's rollers do actually measure transmission losses (on the coast down) and the rollers themselves are routinely calibrated.
As for saying PPP doesn't make the power Prodrive quotes, maybe that is because the PPP doesn't actually give the power Prodrive quotes. How many times have you seen an exhaust system for sale that says it will give 40bhp gains. Do you actually believe you will get 40bhp ?
If you want some *really* good figures to take down the pub, go to Interpro in Bristol. Last time I heard their rollers give you some nice big gains.
Cheers

DO I MAKE THIS UP? LOL
yes m8, if u read my spec you'll add up to about 2500 bhp
that's including me 40 bhp dumpvalve
ian, i don't think we've met, you obviously don't know me
..................think i'll go away now and not bother, cheerio guys, see ya soon

lol at all the bickering.
Low, High, who cares, just use the same rollers throughout your cars mod hitory and the results WILL represent a useful figure to work with.
That's all that ultimately matters guys ! chill..
Andy.
