Question

Would I be too slow for the Autumn one in my 1979 Mini?! It's as quick to 60 as a Mk3 Golf GTi and I've got it geared for about 105-110mph.

Or, if I build up a bit more confidence in the WRX, maybe I could take that. A lot more expensive to crash though!

If old Minis don't get the p1$$ taken out of them, then I might be able to persuade my dad aswell - he's just spent £3k on a new engine and box in his soft-top and he'll do 60 in about 8 seconds and top out at about 115. And he's talking about going back to 10" wheels too so we'll both be pretty speedy round the corners. Nice.

Kane,

If you want my advice stay with classic shape Have had both and went back to old school. Sti type RA or R will rule on a track. Especially with a few select mods. Tis fun choosing a new car

Iain not a problem there will two instructors available for the day
One is ex F1 Mark Wilds (Brabham and Le Mans driver) the other Im waiting to confirm, the instructors are there for all to use at no cost, so if you want a session let me know. There are a couple of points on the track that if you get it right it will make a world of difference to the day.
