South Yorks meet

Well I know the Strines road well as I only live 10 mins from it! Personally I wouldn't use it for a "spirited" drive, far too many ridiculous blind hairpins, and potential for head on crashes
#186
agreed the first bit is a bit hairy? airy? with the steep twistie decents down to the the valleys and back up - nice roads if driven with care, but then second part is classic derbyshire fast road style, my brakes were literally smoking at the end of it last time. what a road!

All meet up at Moorlans pub at owler bar 10.30am. Depart 10.45.
Havent yet decided on route so if Cheesy or Peccy (when he gets his car) want to go on a reccy with me cos they know the roads round there a hell of alot better than I do, then just give me a bell.
Only problem might be, is that im gonna be in France for 2 weeks with work as of Tuesday 18th Nov, back on Friday 28th Nov, but that still leaves a good week to get sorted.

you still planning on a pub meet after the drive out for some snap and beers etc?
where are you thinking?
i know a couple of pubs sort of rotherham /sheff way with a large enough carpark for us all which do cheap ale and good food..
or are you planning on doubling back to moorlands..just thinking that some of the "passengers" may not fancy the drive out and could just meet at "A" pub at a pre planned time/place after the drive???? what ya think..
after asking a few people i know that the initial get together was popular but quite a few seem unkean on the "drive"(they have heard about ya peccy) but are up for a meet/chat/food beer etc???
i was thinking that moorlands a bit far out for most for getting back after wards??
any thoughts out there????????????................................. my understanding was that we would meet up.....those that fancy it go for a nice arranged blast(marx/peccy sorting route)..then all meet up for an afternoon in the boozer FAMILIES AND KIDS INCLUDED for some food etc....marx/peccy seem to have the route in hand so how many of you are happy with afternoon session ???????????

just thought that with nervous passengers or kids on board the drive would not be as "usual"?
happy enough with suggestion peccy but obviously just trying to clarify what is planned..wot you reckon?????
when we initially all spoke about this is was as much to get as many involved as poss..included the steady drivers!not to mention missis' /kids etc....as a chance for you to try and show us that money has been well spent!! lol..
just need to know whether to swap the baby seat with roll cage!!
thoughts ???????????

Hi all Daza'z misses here.
I thought this run out was to include the wives and kids in this one???.
Not all wives want to be a passenger in a scooby on a mad run out, yeah been there, once was enough.!!!! Mind you parcial blame is on Cel as he never told us about the hump!!!! .........lol
Jase has raised some good points that need to be ironed out before the run out.
1. We need a pub more central - What about the Arena Square across from Hallam FM Arena? ((nice big car park where the boys can play!!! or should i say, Peccy can show you what the new baby is made of.......lol ))
2. Are people meeting us at a certian time when they think everyone will be back from the run out????
Can everyone put if they are going on the run and if so are their better halves joining them or are they waiting in the pub till everyone gets back????
Cheers Guys and Gals

I can see why the cossie boys have bottled it now lol with this speed limit in place.
I thought the sunday runs were for a bit of actiion so i can crash into farmers fields like normal lol then meet up at the other end and eat.
I think we should arrange a different date for a proper run or a different date for the stroll in the park any ideas ??
Sounds to me the scoobs have bottled it and using there better halves for an excuse well thats what youd call us cossie boys if ball was on other foot lol.

Daza's Misses here,
Yeah the car does have a limit on it when i am in the passenger seat but you will still be at the back of it!
Anyway J_P_H i thought you would rather stay back at the pub with the rest of the kids in the ball pit while the men are out playing!
