What is the WORST mod you've ever bought and why?
Broquettes. And the local Subaru dealers has never heard of them and can find no part number for the alledged fitment to P1s despite an extensive search and contacting Prodrive.
Probably a cheaper brake conversion - good value for money and a vast improvement on the 2 pots...but then I drove an STi 7 with the Brembos - I almost went through the windscreen! lol!
Next time I'll save up for the expensive ones...
Husband said "the crappy stickers you put on the windscreen"
Men just don't understand, you *need* a SN Smilie!

Worst mod for me was - Tinted glass re-inforcement film.
I asked for a very slight tint. Car came back with limo tint, I hated it, felt like a pimp. And I could'nt see **** all out the side/rear windows/mirrors. Black interior made it worse
I decided enough was enough when I did'nt see a white transit when reversing out my mates drive!
I refused to pay, and demanded they would take it off. But I ended up meeting half way, and just not paying. Had to take it off my-self. This was a complete bar-steward, used all sorts, from celly thinners to glue/tar remover and a scraper.

A 1380 'A' series engine from Avonbar. Everything broke on it and his customer service was, erm, poor....
It was my first experience of car modding, which taught me a great deal - if you want something doing well, then do it yourself!

Broquettes are some sort of supposed magic catalyst that removes fuel impurities, improve octane rating and give better burn properties, and were supposedly put in every P1 fuel tank.
They were dropped in the fuel tank to treat all further petrol.
I personally haven't tried them, searh on here and the Internet, mixed comments may be found.

Worst mod i did was on my 205. It was old, black and i had a go at tinting the rear lights with that foliatec gear. Decided it wasn't happening fast enough and attacked it with black gloss spray paint.
Looked great, but cops didn't like it too much, and neither did the numerous folk who nearly ploughes into the back of me cos they couldn't see the lights.

It was a mistake getting a set of 17inch team dynamic wheels for my MY00.
Got them cheaply enough from on here, even came with a set of virtually new pirelli p zeros...
However as soon as i lifted one of the wheels i knew straight away they were MUCH heavier, and have made the ride very uncontrolled and over soft in the damping.
A set of stiffer springs such as eibachs might sort things, but would be expensive if they dont!
I'll have to put the original wheels back on and replace the worn tyres cos b roads just arent the same.
But the 17's just look so damn good...

I imported one of these from Japan for £65 including a 100 mile trip down to Customs and Excise to pick it up
When it turned up I had mis-understood the description and it was just a plastic beaker Probly worth about 50p in Poundstretcher
