Sorry I missed your post, using scoobynet at work & Boss was in office so I checked my thread then wrote my post off-line in notepad, then posted it back when I got chance,
Hence missed yours...

NO I did not Change the MAF Sensor
(Doh!) 
I was going to change the plugs & oil this weekend, to eliminate them first.
I also had a spare coil pack from my last inlet manifold, so was going to try that next.
& as my mate Impreza has been written off I couldn't borrow his, so was only going to buy 1 once I had eliminated the other suspects.

No I don’t ever Red-Line it, since I noticed the problems, I have been driving fairly sensibly trying not to go over the 5.5k revs so as not to light the Knocklink.

Too Late I had already dropped my car into Top Boss.
-Thou its only in for provisional checking as to why it blew up.
- I had phoned the others as recommended, but this was the only guy who wants to sort out the reason it blew before replacing or re-building

I've mailed you questions regarding the STi engine, I definitely considering it.
