Nice one Rob.

Keep us posted on your thoughts and performance relative information, I too will probably go for Tarox.

Ordered today.

FRONT
Tarox 6 Pots, G88 40 groove discs, competition pads, steel braided hoses.

REAR
G88 replacement discs, (266mm), racing pads.

Rob.

The larger replacement discs for the rear are 318mm (vented) and require a special bracket for fitment only available from GGR and are about £500.00.

The standard size G88 rear replacements are £134.00 per set + Pads Etc.

I hear a track day calling.

Mike,
Yeah, I think I'll pass on those 318mm rears, impressive as they may well be, I'd expect calipers and a new rear diff. and a small time-share flat in Minorca as well for that price. It just makes the 266mm discs look phenomenal value for money at £134. I reckon you've made a good choice.

I think I'll save up a bit and maybe go for the STI larger single-pot sliding calipers as well (your WRX may already have these fitted as standard,I have a pair of thimbles operating as rear pistons)
Mind you, that works out at another £555(from GGR) including the Tarox discs and I know a place(MSP) that sells the STI twin-pots+290mm vented discs for £540 inclusive(GGR charge £681inc).
It's just a shame Tarox don't yet do any 290mm rear discs to match, as that would fit the bill perfectly and bankrupt me nicely.

How about if I paint the grooves onto the discs?
