I have decided not to do any more rolling road days, every time I agree to go my car goes t*ts up.

Yesterday was the first time I have driven my Scooby since the Hants meet and it will not rev over 4,000 rpm, sounds like launch control is fitted which is absolutely wicked as you can just hold it at full throttle and it just pops and bangs spitting flames. Problems look quite seriouse as Thursday the engine wouldn't even crank over which turned out to be No 1 cylinder injector stuck open causeing the cylinder to become full of petrol. The faulty injector is now soughted, and the engine oil and filter is changed because petrol had run past the piston rings and contaminted the oil.

If I can't fixit Wednesday I will have to pull out because Thursday and Friday I'm in Milton Keynes for SEAT Technican of the year finals

Mark - they sort the running order on the day, so I'll make sure you're near the front. The "other" cars will have to run first but there aren't that many of them so I can't see that midday will be a problem!

Just make sure you remind me on the day

Is that list the running order Jen? If so, I will turn up a little later, gives me time to prep the car

lol - can't wait to see this car!

It's not the running order - Tuning Japanese have asked if they can have all the cars there about 8:30/8:45ish and they will be sorting the running order out from there. I'm not sure how they want to organise the runners etc. appart from having the "other" cars running first. That's all the info I know I'm afraid!

Andy, what happened mate?? Hope its not too bad?

Hopefully will come up as a spectator but the garage I have used for servicing seems to have gone into liquidation, so my gearbox is still low on oil

Andy,

Jen told me what happended - glad to hear you're ok !!! I really hope it doesn't take long to repair the scoob, it would be a great shame to be without such a nice car for too long.

Take care and see you Saturday.

Rach

Thanks guys, nobody was hurt at all, which is a God-send, Ill still be there saturday, I think that it looks worse than it is (what with the majority of the front end being currently stored in the boot)....
it comes down to wheel assembly methinks, Ill hopefully know the outcome before saturday and have the full news for you.
thanks again for the concern, touched

Andy
