Karen? Yep
I read that a standard STi2 should break 260-280 so yes, I looking higher than that... after spending £3k already I WANT more than that LOL... If it is under 250, pray you are not behind me
Just kidding

Don't worry if you don't get the figures you want, at the end of the day if you get a dissapointing figure on the rollers it don't make your car slower and it don't make the money you spent wasted - as long as it feels quicker when you drive it.
Having said that... we all know what we want. One day I want to be able to say I've got 300horses and back it up. But that won't be this day - 250 to 260 I'm reckoning on. And I'll cry and stamp my feet and say it's all a fix if I don't get it

Lol @ Dan!
Karen, don't worry It is scarey, but as long as you love your car then it doesn't really matter what you get - after all, a well set up 250bhp can beat a badly set up 300 one...at least that's my excuse lol!
I got 251 at P.E. But I know they read higher than Tuning Japanese (allegedly) so I'm hoping for over 230...we'll see...I do have a Hantsscoobies sticker on my car which should add approx. 10bhp I reckon

To confirm the bit about not ragging the car: When I had mine rollered at TDI last year they too it through the gears to 4th, but just gently - as if you were driving Nan to the shops! It was only in 4th they took it all the way up to the redline to do the test.

Jo - thanks so much for that Sounds like they are great guys...I'm always a bit dubious about setting things up at places I havn't used myself, but on the phone they were so helpful (and very funny ) that after hearing a few good reports I had no doubts, so thanks for confirming D
Looking forward to it, I'm giving them a quick call this morning re: max numbers and running a few "mystery cars" So I should be able to answer the reserve/final list questions then
Thanks
Jen

Ok - I've confirmed the booking for Sat 6th Dec, we start running at 9am and I'll have to head up there early to introduce myself and take the "mystery cars" up with me (it might take them a while ), so if you lot would like to organise a convoy it would be great if you could head up there to arrive about 8:45.
I'll see if you manage to do anything yourselves, but I'll be back Monday to organise it if you don't
Cheques will be cashed next week, but I'll send you all an e-mail to warn you on tuesday
Drinks etc. will be available in the morning, burger van should be arriving about 11ish
Away at the rally until Sunday night now, but I'll be on hte mobile if you need me

Something along the lines of below :
Hello all

Landy boy David - To be persuaded lol!
Can you all let me know if anything is amiss with how you think the situation should be re: your position on the list. ALL CHEQUES WILL BE CASHED IN THE NEXT WEEK, so there's your advance warning
The activities on the Rolling Road will start at 9am, I've been asked to arrive at 8.15, so I'll be up there early, for those who haven't met me I'm about 5ft 10/11" with dark shoulder length hair and I've got glasses - I'll probably wear my Subaru World Rally Team fleece on the day, so should be pretty easy to spot. I'll be in a Silver MY98 Turbo, S199 APA.
The first car is expected on the rollers at 9, so I'd be appreciative if you could all aim to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45ish. Anyone travelling up the M3, the South Hants lot will be meeting at the Winchester Services (same place as last years Rolling Road day) at 7:50 for leaving at 8am. That should give you plenty of time to arrive.
Once you all arrive, Tuning Japanese will sort out the running order and arrange you all in the car park. Once we get going one car will be being warmed up whilst one is running etc. Sounds like it'll be a pretty smooth operation. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer for any damage that occurs to your car on the rollers (this is standard), they *will* check your car for any problems before the runs and reserve the right to refuse to run your car if you have any serious problems....still, it's a good way of getting a health check I guess! (but you should all know that as I told you before ).
Tea and Coffee will be served in the morning and the burger van should arrive at 11am-ish. I'll probably be looking to do a write-up in True Grip, so if you have any objection to your car/results/face being in there then let me know (or refuse to talk to me on the day ).
The address is:
Unit A, Holder Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, England. GU12 4RH.
Tel: 01252 32 80 80 Fax: 01252 32 90 90
...and a map can be found here: http://www.tuningjapanese.co.uk/ (go into the information section).
It'll be good to meet up with you all again and meet all the new faces, don't hesitate to give me a call if you have any questions or problems, I can be reached at this e-mail address (my work one) or the one I've "sent" the e-mail to (jen@hantsscoobies.plus.com) or the phone numbers below...
Thanks guys!
Jen
