One of the cars that ran on the 6th was run again on another set of rollers, here are the results. Loud and clear I would say, car was ran in exactly the same spec, even the same tank of fuel.

Personally I think the second graph looks FAR more realistic POC

I can't work out why thse cars with sensible turbo's & even standard turbo's make thier torque (well what little torque they do make) so far up the rev range?

Still interesting reading though

You can see a marked change in output at 5800 rpm on the sas graph - that's the rollers catching up with the wheels and hence shows power above what the car actually produced. Like when you get wheelspin on the road, just as it grips you get a surge forwards from the drivetrain inertia.
The strong midrange torque which comes in with a bang on that car is what would have contributed the wheelslip in my opinion.

Shame the 2nd graph doesn't show a boost plot.
Because as with alot of the others that were run, the 1st plot doesn't seem to be holding boost.

Just for the record, the thread reports were not from Tuning Japanese. As far as I can see Tim is trying to rectify/identify the issues you have brought to his attention.

So as long as you keep it civil and factual, this thread will stay.

Rgds, Alex

just thought i'd add my peak torque

Fuz, Bug WRX = 252 BHP, 194lbf-ft

PE values 3 weeks before 226bhp 196lbf-ft
(0.7 bar boost due to incorrect pipe fitted)

Angry

I spent an hour on Sunday night going through this thread and have to say I'm very disappointed with the reaction of some people. As a business owner myself I can fully understand why Tim Endersby is so angered at the outrageous allegations on here. I was there on the day and was more than happy with the professional attitude of the Company and the time taken by Tim to talk to me afterwards about the results of my test.

If people had concerns about their results then discussing them on the day or by private communication with SAS/Tuning Japanese is, apart from anything else, common courtesy. If I'd had my business slagged off in this manner then I would, not surprisingly, be absolutely livid. People's livelihoods are at stake, time should be taken by the protaganists to think about the consequences of what they are saying before spouting off in public.

Jen did a terrific job of organising the day, I'm sorry that the words of a few people have spoilt it and left a bad taste in many peoples mouths.

This is exactly the sort of thing that puts me off ScoobyNet.

Soon no one will be prepared to offer RR days and the like incase we slag them off for something which is not proven to be their fault.

Very childish. Grow up.

Thumbs down

Instead of posting silly posts and bringing this topic back up, how about its just left?

Or have you replied so more people can see this post and reply and it all kicks off again?

Tim has been replying to some of us members. My graph seemed not to be accurate but i wasnt sure about the figure anyway. Pavlo (the guy who has mapped mine) has spoke to Tim and andy f and tweenierob has also been speaking to them.
