I had a cracking day out lads....nice to meet up with you.
Glad to know my car wasn't the slowest Scoob of the day as was expected!!!!
14.04/92mph not bad, but in 1989 I had a Renault 5 GT turbo that ran a 14.7/93mph at York Dragway.
Hmmmmm....... I'm sure the Scooby is faster than the Renault, but the clock doesn't lie does it?
Looking forward to the next day.....Might look at this Link stuff before then!!
Oh yeah.....who owns the immaculate green wagon with slightly green wheels???
Cheers,
Marty

My first time running too, was my RS that did a 14.8, with a .385 reaction time too, was impressed with myself considering I have never even launched the car before.
The RS running later in the day pulled a 14.4, had more miles on than mine (mines not really run in yet).
I was most impressed by the way the CTR's were getting off the line better than most of the scoobs, what's going on there then lads

21 Simon Houghton 13.58/74
23 Mark Winson-Pear - 13.68/90
Why such the big difference between Simon Houghton and Mark Winson-Pear where Simons time is quicker but Marks terminal speed is lot faster - is this right?

Darren, you missed the 8 off the end of your 1/4 mile time
Nice to run against you on Sunday, i think that was the closet one of the day, as apparently our reaction times were bang on identical.
Nice car BTW

Well done guys, great day out, nice to meet some of you.
Must mention (for those who weren't there) the guy on the Scooter!
There was a guy there on a modified Lambretta 220cc scooter, all kitted up in Pro-leathers etc, turned up at the start line and it's safe to say half the crowd were laughing at him. Well... he started this thing up and proceeded to do a 1/4 mile in (i think) about 13 secs!!! Bl*&dy amazing. Nuff respect!

All, great day, great fun to see so many fantastic motors. Well impressed with the Toyota Supras!
I was soooo tempted, but feared ridicule with a series of kangaroo starts and stalls. So I settled for lifting the lid on my pride and joy in the (very vain!) hope some of you might like seeing what I've done to my wagon.
But next time - what the hell! No-one seemed to worry about being embarrassed so next time it happens in this neck of the woods, I'll be there!

Marty, that'd be me! Had them refurbished in Hull a few weeks ago and asked him to include a green fleck. Chuffed with the results - sets off the car nicely.

Stevie, i was using 215/35 18 Toyo Proxes, the same ones i used at TOTB2 and everyday. They will be replaced in the next week, as they are just about dead. More than 20000 miles out of them

I was 7th, bridgestone potenza's rear and michelin pilot sx on the front.
Don't know if it was the front or the rear but i could hear them spinning when i was setting off ( @7000rpm ).

do you get a more re alistic result of just the car doing the 1/4 mile if you take off the reaction time? like no driver error? for example if my time was 14.37 and my reaction time was .420 is the real time not including my reaction time?so it would be in the high 13 secs or am i getting confused that they give you a reaction time but its not included? its just they did not do the reaction times at the start.confused, i am!

They gave you reaction time, but it wasnt included. I stood on the line for more than 2 seconds trying to get my revs right on one ocassion, accused of being asleep, the other car had gone, but i still recorded a 12.46.
