Nope they don't, only spec C, the GL's have the tank under the bonnet on near side. I have both having installed the rear tank as an "optional" extra.

The gauges are not "digital" but DEFI's ... yup that's correct, especially done for STi by Defi, STi also have the centre pod Defi sets available badged as STi, not BF version though and only version 1 gauge controller at this time.

What i ment was, the uk sti-8 has the water spray bottle in the boot.

sti-8 or mark 3 stim what ever its called.

Chris, ok crossed wires, the STi8 is one "model year" behind the STi9 even though they are both MY03, water bottle is behind the boot trim ifair

Er, no. You're really not the brightest bulb in the box, are you?

So if that a 9 then thats mine - they've been out since Feb 2003 in the UK - so whats the point of this thread.
The point is that the STi9 is not the same car as your STi8. They may look the same from the outside, but the technical specification is fundamentally different. You can't buy a car with this spec via Subaru UK, so your "they've been out since Feb 2003 in the UK" comment is demonstrably wrong.

Definatley never been "out" in the UK but has been available from japan since November 2002. Similar exterior but totaly different engine and running gear in places.

Why are they not on www.subaru.co.jp then - same dials gauages etc

No I need to stop annoying people that enjoy serious debate.

STI 9 is sh1te by the way.

look at the photo of it! a dirty tyre it may be but also a very slick one! All im a saying is these lovely things are up for grabs at under 25grand brand new! they have 4! time to remortgage I think!!
