Actually, the M3 EVO has about the same performance as standard Supra twin turbo, or STI Impreza once on the move... without needing any turbos! Those clever Germans.
Yeah and it costs £10K - £15K more than an STI, those clever Germans ...

Oh ****! Sorry I forgot that, silly me!

Seriously though, depends on what you want from a car. Anyway I'm not being drawn into this one again (M3IAL???) so stop it now

The M3 Evo isn't 10-15k more than an STi?? Seeing as you can only get them second hand now, they're more like 10-15k to buy

The grille panel on the M3 Evo Coupe and Saloon are the same, so whoever said they don't share any panels is wrong too

Rich and Mini,

King of the pedantry award goes to you

At the end of the day a new M3 (in whatever guise they currently are) is around £10K to £15K more than a new STI - happy now! Sorry for not knowing the exact bloodline of every BMW, but I really do have better things to do with my life.

Yeah too right!!

Also with the STI people think you are, but with the M3 they know you are - well worth the extra money just to confirm their suspicions!!

Me? Pedantic?

I work for BMW mate, it's my job to know things like this...

The E46 M3 is a fair bit different to the E36 M3/Evo, so I wasn't being pedantic about that, you were just wrong

You work for BMW! - with your tone you'd never guess

Did they brainwash you as part of the training or have you always been that way?

Look into my eyes... concentrate.... concentrate.... when I click my fingers and you wake up you will from then on think, nay know, that BMW are the best cars in the world and the M3 is the best of all.... You just not will ever again be able to understand why anyone would want another car... you will know that the outside overtaking lane belongs to all 318's... they are the 'ultimate driving machine'... everything else especially Scoobies are ****e .... and anyone who wants a car other than a BMW is a sadly deluded fool ...

I was simply making a point that the M3 is a much more expensive car than the EQUIVALENT Scooby STI new or secondhand. As I said I haven't studied the bloodline of the M3 (and I can't imagine myself ever being bored enough to do so ) therefore I don't know when the EVO came, went or what the current model is designated as etc. etc.

Regards,

tiggers.

LOL, that sounded like the first training course I went on

I don't have a BMW, and I wouldn't really want one, unless it was a 330Ci Coupe or an M3 Coupe. My french hot hatch does me just fine

I've just spent the last 20 minutes poking round a brand new unregistered E46 M3 CSL, it is absoloutely gorgeous! Had the fixed back buckets, and the cut slick tyres. Carbon fibre air intake is mad, and a snip at £1500 for a new one if you were to break it

22B or CSL, that is tricky... ( nice thought if money was no option )

Rich
