hello Jon.
I'm female so you will have to excuse me, but what will a supercharger do??? and how much will it cost????
I thought about the turbo, but it's a lot of hard work and insurance will kill me.
If i find a turbo car, Stiff has said he will spray it for me.

Hey Becky
Supercharger is simular to a turbo but is belt driven rather than exhaust gas driven. Never fitted one before but would like too Never had a Sport before but entirely possible I would think?
Utilising a supercharger off the Merc SLK 2.0....... Whack that on with a smaller pulley wheel, design some intake bends etc. going though a front mount intercooler = 200bhp
Spraying it loses value. Have to have a look underneath the bonnet of your car sometime to get a few ideas Do you have aircon?
Like my old Yellow Type R?
Oh im the nutty one who always wants more power

Or you could on a Sport use a Turbo exhaust manifold with uppipe. Use a TD04 turbo with the 90 degree inlet on it. Use a Intercooler too and junk that big box. Use turbo induction setup for air......
Turbo - £150 (Approx!)
Exhaust Manifold - £70
Induction System - £50?
Intercooler - £100
Then use a boost controller (aftermarket) prefably electronic to control boost levels due to absence of boost control solenoid.
Used EBC - ~£150
Then use a air fuel ratio controller to richen things up a bit etc.
Used AFC - £150
Reason for using older 90 degree turbo is that you don't have to lift the manifold and do all the front entry conversion stuff.... Hmmm!
Now wonder what size the injectors are on the Sport......

They won't insure me on the Type R till i'm 25, and the imports are really expensive to insure.

Andy has offered to have a look but need to take my car up there. Just waiting for him to advise if there's anything I can check/replace down here first before driving all the way up there.

Steve - thanks for the offer, I'll see what Andy advises first.
Jon - something wrong with my car but don't know what. Had it RR'd in Nov and it produced 255 bhp and 260 lbsft with full decat, k&n filter and Dawes.
Had TEK3 remap in January by Andy F and took it back on RR yesterday expecting to get about 270-280 and it only managed 232 bhp and 217 lbsft
Unhappy would be an understatement!
