Hi all, I'm still with you. Thinking of going next Monday, what time is usual and do we bring girlfriends, mine's keen to come along. Had my 10,000 service at J*****'s a week ago and it seems to be running a fair bit smoother, as they do little else than change the oil I wonder why? D.

D1ccy,
Some people take their wives/partners/girlfriends, some don't. Sometimes my missus comes with me and it's a gentle(ish) drive there, other times it's "boys-only" and we meet up in Hull and have a more spirited drive there
It generally depends on who's going from Hull as to whether the girls come or not!
Steve

I'll be making my own way there as g/f lives in Melbourne on the way. Just to worry everyone, a friend of a work colleague got 3 points and £60 FPN (mobile fleecing unit) for doing 33 on Bude road in front of ASDA at Kingswood. I know 30.1 is breaking the law but this is silly, I normally do 2 mph over on the clock presuming speedo error will leave me safe, crumbs I spend more time looking at the clock than where I'm going and it's getting worse.

30 along there is silly, I keep up with the traffic in generally the nearside with my eyes in the distance looking for suspicious vans (still often more than 30) 'cos I know cameras get put along there, and end up getting stuck behind left turning lorries. If push came to shove I doubt they could make a conviction stick as the signs are well wrong - spray painted out old 40 signs and the temporary 30 signs are on one side of the road only. Rather avoid testing this out. Oh yes and as you leave Saltend there's a 40 sign at the roundabout and no temporary 30 sign until after the next roundabout going into Hull.

might make it Monday - but will mean I have to give up my Reflexology session, and leave Ferne to babysit
Still, she wont read this until tomorrow at the earliest, so I'm safe for now.. HA! Ave it, biatch!
7 pm at MacD's on Kingswood, yes? If I'm coming I'll be there, but I'll be dawdling to York - I'm only running it on 95, not Opti or SUL so it'll be even slower than before Can't afford the extra pennies, it's nearly Xmas you know!

Pum - just been talking to Big John and booked my car in for MOT on Monday (must remember to put the standard size number plate back on )
He was telling me about some rallying at Cadwell Park on Sunday - sounded pretty good. Anyone fancy a drive out to watch???

Forgot to ask, wtf is reflexology ???
I always run mine on Optimax but I put a tankful of BP SUL in recently - it was more expensive, the car was less responsive and I got less mpg! I wouldn't put normal unleaded in mine cos inside the fuel flap it says Super Unleaded Only.
ps. Did you see Debs waving on Saturday??

yes, didn't you see me waving from the front window?
Reflexology is here a nice old dear sits you down in a chair and basically massages your feet for 45 minutes or so - it's very relaxing and means I ge 45 mins peace and quite to chill.
There is also supposed to be some spiritual benefit to do with "negative energy" and the like, but I don't buy into any of hat, it's just nice on the odd occassion to have some quality relaxation time

Ferne, Any news of your contract, I've just been told I'll no longer be required after 24th December, Happy Christmas eh? as a pensioner (wonder if I'm the fastest pensioner round here) it's no big deal for me but I'll have to find something in the new year to keep me off the streets. D.
P.S. Car pulling like a jet fighter in this cold weather, shame it's 30 and 40 limits all the way to work.

I'm so sorry to hear that Dick - bet you're really pi$$ed off. I'm sure you'll be sorted pretty quick though. Are you with and agency or self employed? I've still not heard anything.

Not upset, could do with a short rest. Pension pays all the bills with some left over. Just means that those lovely bronze 18s from TSL will have to wait a while (£1300+vat+GSD3s will cost over 2k). I fancy a dark coloured wheel and Prodrive don't do the titanium PFF7 in 18.
With Rullion, they may find something else but I'm institutionalised here. May apply to B&Q to keep me off the streets.
