Changed all 4 shocks and springs on an RB5 WR Sport on Saturday - I'd never tried it before and was pleased it was a piece of the proverbial wee wee

scooby new-can help with brakes-but down for rolling road on satyurday morning-starts 9am-i'm 7th on the day .....is anyone fancy a jolly there or even just a ride for company?
re the brakes will be able to help after that in the afty or sunday ?
u want to borrow trolly jack at all?
i have 4 stands-but the holding up a classic alfa romeo in myy garage...any thoughts

steve i can also bring my trolly jack if you need to borrow it, along with the world's biggest socket set and my normal pack of cigs aslong as you keep me in coffee.

Don't complain about the rain. It makes the chicanes on Hedon road much more fun.
Found front geo out last w/e (4mm toe out - should be nil, and less neg camber than it should have) difficult to keep straight braking from high speed, I think my new springs have settled so its going back to ****ans Fri, I shall be watching them reset it. If I'm not happy then I may be arranging a trip to TSL.
Might drop by rolling road Sat as a spectator.

Hi ads,
My main dealer is Jordans in the middle of Hull. Their Scooby mechanic is a guy called Lee and he's put the ppp and prodrive springs on my car and all seems good. I'm sure the alignment issue is just the front springs settling a bit more (had to readjust headlamp aim to see in dark) but I do want to be very confident it is spot on this time.
York rolling road is at Langford Garage at Gate Helmsley A166 East out of York. There's a thread in "northern" about it. Bit nervous to put my car on the rack so I'd just like to see what goes on and have a gossip.

Ello!!
Just a quick post from my hotel room in Corby before I go to Rockingham this afternoon to meet Johnny Herbert and indulge in some racing
And all for free as well 
Brakes haven't arrived yet but hopefully they'll be waiting for me when I come home on Friday. I might go with you to York on Saturday then do the brakes afterwards, I'll see when I get home.

d1ccy may aswell leave the meet til monday when its the yorkshire meet (first monday of each month) im sure we can sort out a place to meet up so we can all go up together, last month me and ads meet at Mc Ds on kingswood to meet steve (scooby new)so we could follow him up as ive only gone twice and ads only once, although i allways seem to end up following ads as he seem's to have a problem with his right foot being made of lead,,ha ha ha

Morning Boys!
Oooooo I've got a lovely crack in my windscreen. Managed to get a chip in it on Saturday while in Scunny (about 5 - 6 " from the bottom in the middle of the windscreen). Coming to work this morning and just waiting for my duet to start with Kylie when I heard this dreadful noise and realised that the chip was now a crack moving slowly across the length of the screen. Think I did the right thing by switching off the heat onto the screen, it then seemed to stop, i'm sure it must have something to do with it being so cold too!!! Have rung Autoglass up this morning and they are coming to work tomorrow to replace it - would have been today but they haven't got any replacements until tomorrow.
Buzz said I've over reacted and that it would be fine until the weekend - just don't fancy driving around with it like it is though! Sorry being a typical woman I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure they get you a genuine one with a gap to read the VIN.

I'll make my own way Mon as I have to collect girlfriend on the way (near Pock), she knows where the pub is anyway. What time do you usually get there.
Wish me luck getting my geom done tomorrow, I'll report outcome monday. Will also prove that I can measure toe and camber with blocks, rods, and a spirit level, although I wouldn't trust this far enough to get the spanners out. D.

Hi people - this is great, actually having a forum with local people!!! Has anyone had any trouble down Hedon Road? Cos I work in Preston, and on the way home from work early one morning I got pulled for speeding (on my bike, not the car) - got away with it (twice speed limit - I don't drive like that day time - but it was 6am...) - so if anyone sees a blue scoob doing exactly 30mph down Hedon Road - you know who it is!!
