The LRC 100 is indeed better and more discreet but at a cost.
I am off to the states in 6 weeks time...i wonder how many blinders i can cram into my case??

SLD 920 no longer available from Snooper, i had the last of them last week!
The newer ones are basically the same system but less prone to false alarms as on the previous units this caused problems being ftted to plastic bumpers. They are also easier to fit!
I will call Snooper tomorrow and reckon i can get a cheaper price for this many units. Whatever i get knocked off i will pass on to you. Under £200 shouldn`t be a problem.

Dudes, forgive my lack of knowledge but is there a one device which will detect gatso, trulvo, specs and laser guns AND also diffuse both front and rear laser attempts
The resaon I ask is that I want all these features but from one device as I'm a bit skint eastwood at the moment and don't fancy spending a wad of dollars on two different devices
Cheers, Adam

Hi chaps,
just let me know what the final numbers are and I'll see what I can do, I did the last group buy for the jammers and got you a very good deal so I'll do my best again.
Gangsta, please be aware that these are not radar jammers, only laser.
Adam555, unfortunately there isn't one device to cover everything, you would need a combination of devices, some of our Scooby customers should be able to let you know what they currently use and will be able to tell you what they are happy with.
Cheers.

just a word of warning have been informed that the new Lastec laser guns show to the operator a unique error code that alerts the operator to the fact such a device is being used an advice to the operator is to stop vehicle if possible and check vehicle for laser jammer. Possible that pervert course of justice etc !!!!
Just a warning.
Just a warning.

Cheers K300 (my contact ) - he's the guy who organised our last group buy with the SLD920's.
PLUS - they (as far as I know) are the only company who supply the fitting kits to link the laser jammers directly into the back of the Road Angel.

the only unit that does it all is the origin b2, when combined with the target lrc100, and even then, I am not sure it does it for front and rear protection.
It isnt cheap to combine both, you are looking at close to £600, but it is the only one which can do laser, gps for sepcs etc, and ku band for mobile gatsos and safety camera vans which are radar based.
Not happy about this legaility thing, but equally am not convinced about the gun being able to detect a jammer.
When they get false readings, its normally because they don't get a clear reflection from which to measure the doppler shift.
I have no idea how the guns could distinguish between a dodgy reflection and a transmitted dodgy reflection.

Here's something to think about, bearing in mind these jammers work in the infra-red spectrum.
Has anyone ever seen a TV remote control being used through the lens of a video camera? You can actually see the LED's flashing on an off, even though they're invisible to the naked eye.
So, my theory is this. The speed-"safety" vans are all linked to video cameras (for evidential purposes) - so they might be able to see the jammers flashing merrily away as the car passes.
Now, I know this is untested in court at the moment. Who wants to be the test case?

The Snooper S6-R Neo GPS Radar Detector covers all Specs, Gatsos, Tevullos, K-Band Lasers etc. Works well. But will not diffuse lasers, only if combined with another diffuser.

There are thousands of cars out there with diffusers, I don't think we need to worry about this. You could also say that they are going to start testing emissions, then drivers with a full decat will in trouble.
If you get stopped and they point to the diffuser, just say that you did have a garage which remotely opened when you approached it, and you assume that that is what it was used for

worth looking at this for comparison between sld 920 and lrc100
obviously I am biased towards the 100 as I want to interface with the origin b2!

still big key factor is guna be the fiscal factor init but LRC100 still sounds more tempting from an instillation point of view as well as quality certainly it may be better for my next car

some musings having had a 920 fitted since the original batch from edequip...
The under bonnet area and wiring/electronics in general on subarus is not the ideal environment - I had a lot of falsing to begin with - due to horrible voltage spikes - I was eventually sent a regulator by the folks in Denmark to go on the power feed and this cured 95% of the falsing.
I also used a diy earthing kit to reduce some of the 'noise' and this too was beneficial (and improved engine tune and stereo quality too)
Another issue has been with sunlight when the sun is very low in the sky - oddly this will cause falsing v.early in the morning and late evening but not when the sun is higher in the sky - no idea why this is.
Regarding location of the units - they need to be some distance apart - so grille mounting on early imprezas not ideal and probably too high - they seem to work best with wider spacing - under the bumper either side of the plate - this is also where guns are typically pointed at the car.
oh and the units do work - giving plenty of warning time
Paul W
NB not sure how many of the issues above will be cured by the new 'x' version

& "that old chestnut" wasn't that actually the case with the prequil to the LRC100 the 850 or wotever that it could actually be linked to a door opening device with the added benefit of accidently blocking nasty lasers lol

K300 is going to back to me with prices for
LRC 100
Blinder M20 (which is the Snooper SLD920X but cheaper)
Snooper SLD920X
As soon as I know I will post them up, I have asked for prices for above 50 orders.

Hi everyone,
another good deal from Radar Detector Shop, as long as we have an order for 50 units,
£235 for either the LRC100 or the Snooper SLD920x, carriage is £5.99.
There shouldn't be a problem with availability of the LRC100 but there may be short supply of the SLD920x.
I know some people have said that they can sell these products at around £200 but I think that they may be a little optimistic, but if they can then they deserve the order.
Cheers.

Hi! Not wishing to upset anyone or tread on anyones toes, but if anyone wants to see, I have a man coming to the Kent Scoobies meet on Friday who has a car equipped with a lot of radar stuff, so if anyone wants to come & have a look - just to see how it all works, etc. you are more than welcome - he will also be able to answer any questions you may have.
