A bit worrying is the idea that some off these diffusers require setting up, and correct me if I am wrong ?? !! but dont think the police camera vans would allow you to allow the use off there equipment for setting up purposes now would they ?? !!

still think the " blackspot laser detector " could be okay at £99 but would prefer to see one tested first, the recent " ride " motorcycle magazine carried out a test on amongst others the snooper sld920x laser diffuser, gave it a total off 36/50, quote " it worked but not conclusively " - a lot off money it seems for something that does not work 100 % off the time, did detect the radar from well over a km away though, any further comments on the blackspot laser detector at £99 sold by networks etc ??

Also may be interested in buying a good model off the " bel range off radar detector," 855 sti, vector LR, etc if anyone has one for sale at a reasonable price - anyone ?? uk tuned model only off course !!

cheers,
john..

i must point out that detection is fairly limited in its use - i have a bel550i and is great.

but detection of laser is no good when you have no time to react and slow down. effectively you are done by the time you are warned.

there are services that can help you set up laser diffusers - ukspeedtraps.co.uk

mista weava, 'had' isn't the word for it!
I had just collected my first 3 points in 13 years, and was in a rush to get something to give me a bit of warning. So at the Motor Show it was 'sold' to me and the salesman told me it was the 'dogs swingers, I suppose that is the same as a load of Bollock5!

At least you could drink tea from me! a fecking MUG, I am a salesman, actually own the company etc, but sadly when you are feeling a little bruised and down it is easy to believe a good line. Have now got a Snooper S6R Neo, with all the bits to move it between 2 vehicles (1 x Scooby), also just been found 'Not Guilty' of not naming the driver following a company vehicle being detected at 41 in a 30! We could not identify the driver.

We actually could not recollect who was driving at the time, fortunately the Magistrates were very sensible and understanding, actually gave me a little faith back in the judicial system.

Jono

Regarding the laser equipment - you dont need to set up the Blinder on the Scoob - mount either side of number plate - it will work

I've also tested mine against a Laser Pro device - cost the company that I asked to test the system circa £1k - and no I wont give out any details other than they use it a fair bit (for work purposes - and no not the police either) - a bit miffed that they could not get a reading!!!

Guys... take a look at this thread.

http://www.radar-detectors-uk.com/in..._valve_GLS.htm

This is a site of someone who I helped test out his laser detector devices. Down the bottom of the page, is his (or *cough* someone you might know ) review of the SLD920 diffusers. Check out the videos, especially the second one.... you may see a green Scoob in the corner of the video that might be familiar

I might be able to get a competetive group price for you, once you decide what you want?

I think we could go for the Blinder, seem to have good reviews. I reckon that you should be able to shift upto 50, if the price is really good, as lots of people want two.

I need to know what you want. There is the Blinder, and a newer model.

Is everyone agreed on a particular model?

Do you want:

The Snooper SLD920

The SLD920(x) - the newer version

or the Blinder? (Which is basically the same kit as a SLD920 - just rebadged)

If you want the Snooper SLD920 NEW model i will do them at £220.00 inc VAT and postage to your door.

I have a DISTRIBUTOR account with snooper so get them cheaper than snooper dealers

Post if interested.

I reckon we could shift 50 or more if the price is right. Just waiting now for BuRR to get the prices for all three types.

Did a little test with the road angel plug in laser unit on Saturday, there was a roadside detector van setup and I went past 6 times placing the unit in different places on the screen. Didnt get a single chirp. so that works well,

When you get a little further along in this process prices finalised ect, I maybe interest in one.
