i would be up for one but thinking £240 is about £100 more then wot i would wana pay, would be up for it if it were around.

there was a thread on here a while back with a bloke who had just fitted rally graphics to his blue classic shape and had a link to the laser jammer he had installed on the car.

as for legalities, They are illegal to use but, hey, wot the freck!!!

if the f@*kin police wanna fire lasers at me then i'm gonna use wotever necessary to defend myself and my car. I'm within my rights!!!

Thumbs up

£240 is a good price considering what they retail for ... That price is good with me. No point scrimping over this .. the snooper version was the only version to fully work when Top Gear tried it out a few seasons back - top piece of kit

What about this one - it seems to be really good!!

I would be interested in a group buy for a laser blocker.

What about a group buy on the Origin B2?
That would allow the use of the diffuser as well, I think.

I was interested in a stand alone diffuser, do not need detector.

The Snooper SLD 920X is a Diffuser/blocker, means that it will block all attempts to read your signal using a laser, eg a speed gun directed at your car from the front.

I think £240 is a good price, but I think we will need 10 for this price.

£240 is ok

£300 is typical retail price

I know people who have picked these up for £180 - but they bought 2 and other gismo's as well

The Blinder is the US name for the Snooper product in the UK - ITS about the best one out there - I would'nt even consider other ones

Theres quite a few people who have them on their car now (to open the garage door of course ....................)

Very timely - if it's the Snooper SLD 920X (updated model) I'm in.

Was just about to buy one at £329

If it's any other model, no probs - I'll just get one on my own.

I think Pele's was the sld 920 with an old retail of £300

The new ones x are slightly more 'durable' and have a suggested retail of £329.. but you should NOT pay this!!!!

For comparisons with other models go onto the speedtrap.co.uk website which should give some comparisons

The Police themselves use these things!!! - They pretty much all work - the Blinder is vey popular in the States...............

Pele - perhaps the person you bought the stuff from would do a group buy????

Rears should be realtively easy to sort - you can see the recess to place the things cant you? just above the rear number plate? -

I must admit, Blinder's tech support / aftercare is superb. My SLD920 units developed a fault about 3 months into ownership (water ingress I believe) so I was instructed by them to send them back to Denmark (or wherever the head office is)

Within a week, I had a brand new boxed unit as a replacement.

Andy - have you got a speed camera detector installed already?

I was thinking of getting a Origin b2 first then look at some sort of laser diffuser

A group buy from that US shop would probably be worth persuing, even after shipping and possible import tax charges...

Cool

I got them from the snooper website - very helpful, when I asked why I could get them cheaper in America, they price matched it for me
£400 - What price would you put on your license? I was a bit late, I kept thinking about getting them, then something else would come along etc, then I got 2x 3 points within 3 days of each other & £120 worth of fines, so I just did it thanks to Mr. Visa
Worth every penny along with the S6 neo when people get in & think I've got a computer in the car!
