I dont think so..... a designer drug that could release differnt moods/highs etc over a period of time could be a real hit.The technology is very simple

I must admit its one of those storys that my friends love to hear and have a laugh at. 3 (THREE!) days after the incident I was typing on the computer when the letters started to walk and jump about the screen I bricked it!!!

This is also why I like the Matrix so much because it tackles the issue of 'perception' and that is something I can relate to. Reality is NOTHING but what we believe it to be or what signals are being sent to our brain. If we develop matrix like interface technology we literally could imprison our brains!

I think the problem I had was that I hadn't done drugs before, I've got a very logical mentality that requires order and the 'spaced out' feeling caused me to panic. I also had a hell of a lot of the stuff and the others admitted that it was very strong as well! All in the past now........I hope

 

Guys, you must be barmy to:

a) taking drugs when you have never taken 'em before, and in a foreign city too;
b) The drug(s) being unknown and of dubious origin.
c) Comlain of feeling "ill".
d) Returning to the UK and consult your nice NHS Doctor.He must have been well chuffed off ("Doctor I went to Amsterdam and took some unknown drugs in an unknown amount and now feel pretty ****...can you help me?").

Can I suggest that you stick to fancy restaurants, bars/clubs and a few beers/light ales? Much less risk to your health, and a load more enjoyable that wathcing you other 'arf going sick and psycho.

Latest update :

Took friend to a&e last night and she soon perked up when the doc took her blood tests. Results show her kidney and liver to be fine and they've just advised giving water etc.

She's still in a daze and my greatest worry is when i talkt o her in the morning after she's just woken up cuz it feels like she's back at square one. However, on a whole she seems better but still some way from 'normal'.

According to the nurses / doc the most likely culprit is the space cake as you cannot be too sure what was in it. I gave her a tablet of something which claims to clear all toxins out but according to the doc it's like Effidrin ? - some sort of herbal ecstacy apparently.

thanks for all your help guys - knew it'd be the right place to ask

any more comments / tips appreciated so don't stop !

I've never heard of anything like that, and most of my chums during my late teens and 20s were smokers (ok I might have had the odd one too).
During this time I travelled to many places (literally! - not in my head) and sampled many wares. It makes no odds where you get stuff now - there's strong and weak everywhere. Just depends who you know and who/what they know. Some of the cross-pollentated stuff in UK now is stronger than anything I've seen in Europe / Far East etc. It positively glitters all over with THC and cannot be good for your head. Obviously there's still your crap sticks / resin / boot polish lot about too.

At worst there were whiteys (and some bigguns too!) which it sounded like you were talking about initially, until you went past the day involved.

I'm not hardcore and I'm not a doctor and I don't want to be responsible for any actions taken on anyone.

Regarding the original case, I'd take my friend to the doc (which has been done) and then I would follow that doctor's advice. He's not gonna try and give duff advice is he. His rep would be on the line.

Having said that I had an AWFUL doctor once who was just shocking - not deliberately - he was just crap and didn't give a monkeys. So long as you trust your doc just do what they say. If you don't see an alternative doc.
