Well what a day........i seem to be sunburnt, Sorry i didn't catch up in person with any of you (I spent alot of the time at Foggys chicane you may have spotted me as well??) but i got some great views of of you through my viewfinder ooohh eeeeerr.

I even got a shot of, was it Mrs Davyboy at the wheel?

The orange escort cosi went pop right in front of me just before lunch, sounded really terminal, i hope it is'nt as bad as it sounded.

my fav moment was when the little green mini chose the rally line through foggys, i think they thought they would turn donno into a rally stage

The drift club seemed to attract some attention, certainly quick in a straight line, although not so sure about the lines throught the hairpin

Funniest story i heard was of the renault? single seaters brakes which seemed to SUDDENLY get up to operating temperature going into to clearways just before the dunlop straight and standing it on it's nose, this was no were near the angle achieved by the ferrari as it too was stood on it's nose trying to avoid it with mrs diggy on board... The brakes on the white single seater seemed much improved after this little incident...

Shame no euro boss cars turned up, i thought they might get some practice in?

M

Mrs Davyboy at the wheel?
Yep, she got a go just after 3pm I think - I would like to see the pics

A good day and I think I may well be a little sunburnt myself.

A few negatives though too many redflags and too many people who made it difficult to pass (just like the motorway on the way home!)

i have posted the films off for developing and scanning about 7 days

Traffic on the way home was terrible agreed, M1 shut at M25 junction, shot across country to M40, loads of traffic not good but still a crackin day

i dunno why there where so many red flags (i know the cause, just not why so many???????)

Yup a great day, I think Ive also caught some of the sun
I think the session i was in was lucky with the red flags as we only had 2 during the whole day one of which was at the end of a session and the other right at the start.
Soooo thats my first track day out the way, Have all the F1 teams signed all their drivers for next season yet I think ill have to put my application in
Sorry you had problems Redkop the things mentioned in the driver breefing are just common sence so no one has an excuse for bad driving, anyone can make a mistake but bad driving is uncalled for
The only one incident i had with some one turned out to be a mechanical problem with their car but it was a bit unnurving seeing a car come spinning past your left hand side in the breaking area into Fogaties<<< think thats what its called
I was very impressed with my car, its the first time its realy had to work for a living and it did realy well, as the day wore on I thought i was having tyre trouble as I was close to loosing the back end a few times.
I checked the preasures and all was ok then it dawned on me it was because i was pushing so much harder that when I started.
It was nice to meet you all and put names to faces...cya all on the 4th Oct

My 1st time at Donington and boy it was scary 1st time round!!
After the 3rd session tho i was kinda getting used to it altho i suffered a little brake fade which kinda affected my confidence.

Redkop, i waved at you in the pitlane from my P1 and you looked confused haha

I reckon this was the best circuit so far for me...

Thanks for the advice Lynne, a new set of Ferodo DS2500's and a set of new discs are now on order for the back brakes.

Arhhh chuckh..........driver of the silver MY01 I presume. Wouldn't expect anything less than a reply like that from you! You pal are a first class ****** driving like that, never done a track day before - eh, was it the only way you could get people to notice you in your slow car? Well you achieved one thing - a ban from Dono but it's a great pity you didn't achieve hitting the tyre wall exiting Craners!!!

Erm, I dont think we need this.

I should point out that there are cars that are faster, there are cars that are slower, there are also fast cars driven slowly, that is allowed!

RIGHT I see so the consideration of others includes willing them into the tyre wall does it???. Juvenile to say the least!!. I wasent trying to prove anything!!. There was an rs cosworth escort at the head of a group of cars numbering perhaps 5 or 6 said cossie was fairly quick down the straights but very very slow round the corners (it had been holding cars up session after session and refusing to pull to the right and let faster cars past) going down craners I past most of the held up cars to find cossie aproaching the old hairpin on the right hand part of the track thinking i could pass on the Left I made my move cossie man(IS THIS YOU REDCOP???) MOVED left, i either had to go right and miss the cossie,Or hit it up the rear. Going for the miss meant a total loss of line so I went across the grass OK i was a bit ambitius but no harm was done I THINK the day was spoiled by bad organisation Drivers should have had the opportunity to be in groups IE Fast,Inters,OR slow cossie man could then have chosen the slow group Or the organisers could have regrouped him into a slower group if he had chosen a faster group than he was clearly capable of driving in WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WAS THAT YOU REDCOP DRIVING THE COSSIE?????

Wasn't the way I saw it - nor many others including the Marshalls, they had it on camera. Why do you think you had your wristband removed and told to go home - eh? What was the point of you overtaking on corners when you were so slow down the straight anyway?

So stop trying to makes excuses for your bad driving!! Try attending a briefing next time you are on track.

My driving is not in question here – it’s yours!
Did I get sent home? No
Did anyone complain about me? No
Did I endanger anyone or another car on track? No

Even the passengers I had with me [seasoned track people] thought you were a complete dick with your atrocious driving.

What excuse do you also have for overtaking going into Goddards as well? I was a 6 or 7 cars behind you then, when I saw you overtake 3 cars with the front one already turning in.

Anyway, I am getting bored reading your excuses………. End of matter as far as I am concerned!

IM AMAZED BY YOUR IGNORANCE AND ATTITUDE. WHEN I REPLY WITH INSULTS YOU REMOVE THEM.!!! BUT YOU CARRY ON REGARDLESS. I NOW KNOW THAT IT WAS YOU IN THE COSSIE HOLDING EVERYONE UP. BOTH IN THE CORNERS AND DOWN THE STRAIGHTS!!!!!! MY SCOOBY MAY NOT BE SUPER FAST BUT I DIDNT HOLD EVERYONE UP LAP AFTER LAP THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT YOU FROM OTHER DRIVERS CHATTING ROUND THE PITS WERE NUMEROUS DONT POINT THE FINGER WITHOUT FIRST LOOKING AT YOUR SELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
