Ok a few more questions
Ive bought a set of spair wheels for track days, the tryes on two are fairly good where as the other two are well worn.

Am i better off putting the well worn pair on the front or back ?
If its raining ill probably use the wheels and tyres i usualy have on the car (Toyo's) which have plenty of tread.

Also is there any where that you can leave wheels ect with out them finding a new owner while your out on track.
As the misses is comming ill be bringing my 4X4 as well so this time ill be ok but in future ill probably just come in the Impreza.

Sorry for so many questions but if i dont ask now ill never remember this stuff on the day.

Andy

Edit to say ive just booked my self in for the 4th Oct as well , I can see this becoming expencive

Wasn't planning to go on track this time as I need to get some more brake pads (<2000 miles left on mine). Might pop up though, and I'll bring my helmet 'just in case'.

Er, not sure I'd class myself as a trackday expert yet (okay, I've done Donington three times now), but I know a few of the lines round there now

Trackzone actually have instructors there and you can get free tuition for a few laps. Ask about it at the driver's briefing. I strongly recommend that you do this, it is invaluable.

Closest fuel (taht's not 99p/litre ) is at Donington services. It's BP, and they do sell SUL. That's the one I've used on trackdays to fill up with during the lunchtime break.

Hiya Wayne - long time no see and I never saw you at Trax either

Trackzone currently have a special offer SEE HERE

Andy, personally I prefer to use good road tyres until I can get a set of wheels for track only, then I will use slicks. Wornout road ones could tend to be weaker IMO, but it's up to you.
You can always leave your stuff in one of the pit garages, there's always space even if the garage is in use.

I think ill end up getting a set of slicks but i need to get the misses hooked before she will let me spend another £400 on the car
Ill probably use the spair set as long as its not realy wet as i want to try and keep the tyres as long as posible on my road wheels.

These days were advertised in Motorsport News last week, so don't leave it too late to book. These sessions go quite fast, hope to see you and Clare there Dave

Thats about it!

One garage door has two garages in it. I may need to store a few bits and a set of wheels.

Ill be taking my 4X4 as well so if you need to put anything any where just ask, there is plenty of room in the back of it when the seats are down.
