Very sorry for your family and the car, mate.I have been there and I know how it feels when your house gets tresspassed by scums and unrightfully they take your belongings away.Specially when your family and yourself are in the house.........
F@cking d*ckheads! They might not rot in jail( knowing the useless police )but hope they rot in hell!

Hi Slider

That's awful news, I'm really gutted for you It must have been a terrifying experience for you and your friends to go through, I hope you recover from the shock and trauma quickly. I also hope you get your pride and joy back in one piece too.

Absolutely Gutted for you M8. Having been scoobless for the last 3 weeks (by choice I hasten to add), I have to admit to being more relaxed of an evening. Beginning to wonder if it was the smartest move to buy another!
It's certainly a tough call between barracading yourself in or letting then take it without a fight. Natural instinct is to protect family & posessions though......
All the best.

I have had two cars stolen previously like this. One was found by police and when I went to pick it up it had been restolen never found again to this day :/ The other was stolen and burnt out in Lawrence Western in Bristol. I had to pay police a £160 tow fee and then £45 destruction charge. ( car was written off)

My solution now is to have a cobra alarm with a numeric pad on that i enter code in to disarm car (no code no disarm).

Also now a bloody big dog helps.

I had someone try to steal my wheels I let my female staffie out and found it hanging off the guys arm.

Thank god the guy never sued me. He ran off when i managed to release her from his arm dripping quite a lot of blood.

There is no solution I can offer u go from feeling sick to angry to borderline killer wanting to hire a hit man to go after the thieves. Just make it twice as hard for them next time.

JC

What i want to know is "when are we going to have the right to kill someone for breaking into our homes ?"
cause at the moment if someone came into my house they would be cracked ,dumped and put in a field then flamed!
ive got a doberman and she is on it. if you tried my door handle she would run down stairs and try to put the front door through.
she is good.
them sort of people need a hole drilled in the side of their tanks with a spark plug wired up to their pump wires.
for starters!

my reg was Y39HVY Deep Blue Mica MY01 (bug eye)
just to add, the burglars were more than shouting and swearing, they were like in a 'frenzy' , like they were 'mad'
to add again, the car has currently got silver wheels on.

just been on to the household insurance and car insurance.
i suppose you could call this the '2nd wave' because i am cheesed off with insurance (surprise surprise)
its suprising how much stuff you have in the car when you tally it up, like prescription sunglasses, travel rug, socket set etc. most of the stuff, like ordinance survey mays, sunglasses and travel rug are covered by household insurance but the socket set and tyre pressure guage for example are covered by car insurance. what has cheesed me off though, is that due to a £250 limit (which i was told is normal on car policies) my road angel and Bel550 radar detector are not covered, thats £700. So besides my excess, the lower value i will probably get for my car (if it is not recovered), i will loose a further £700 from my detectors.
i am so cheesed off.
Michael

I'm sure the house policy has a higher limit.

Don't you usually leave the detectors in the kitchen with your keys?

Just a little tongue in cheek comment, awaiting flames from the fraudlent claim crowd

Don't think anyone would call it silly. A car be stolen at anytime, so who would carry a pair of radar detectors around each time they park?

Most of us can't be bothered to even chuck the head unit into a glove box when we leave.

Let me know if you need to borrow a car m8.

Michael,

That sounds really scary. Glad you are ok though. Its bad enough having one stolen, let alone in those circumstances.

Not seen you for absolutely ages, with your galavanting in Poland, you've been missed. Take care

Sorry to hear about this Michael.

It really sickens me that scum like this can go around doing stuff like this to nice people like yourself.

I hope one day something infinately more nasty happens to them.

The government really should crack down on this. If these gangs got life for this kind of thing instead of community service, maybe they'd think twice.

I hope it all gets sorted for you.

Rich
