Thumbs up

No worries, we'll sort it out then! I should have my phase 2 clusters on by then! I'm doing a deal on a set at the moment, should be £30!!

There are two ways to do the facelift:

1) New bonnet, new grille, new slam panel and new headlights

2) New headlights, modified slam panel, either modified bonnet or lightbrows to hide a gap!

Have a look here: For Pug 306 Phase 1 to Phase 2/3 front end

I was considering it, but I can't find a bonnet in black and I'm loathed to get another colour and have it sprayed up!!

I know a guy selling a bonnet, but he's in Leeds. Should be able to get it for a bargain price if you are considering the modification!

More boost issues

Hitting 1.35 today and the j-spec fuel system is designed for 1.2 max. Need to bring it down, hopefully will by then, otherwise - **** it I'll run anyway!

It all kicks off at 9.30am! A couple of the 306 people haven't rolled before so are a little worried, so I've taken it on myself to run first!!!

With 25 runs planned, at probably 4-5 cars an hour, it will finish about 3.30pm-ish at a guess.

having a few teething problems with the porker, but the car is in for a full service and cambelt change (ouch) on Friday so all should be well. The only concern at the moment is that the turbo cooling fan is playing up which is a bit of a worry. Should be able to cure that in time though.

Steve,

If your car is not running correctly, I personally wouldn't take the risk!! I understand if you have to give up your place!

I hope it's all sorted out on Friday!

cheers Andy. Fingers crossed all should be well. It is only the turbo fan that it is a worry as it has only just started playing up. I will have a look at it later and hopefully sort it. Will keep you posted.

It looks like the turbo fan is probably fine - according to the manual it should be running every time you switch off. But I believe it is actually controlled by a thermostat and as I normally drive like a puff I am not getting the turbo hot enough to trigger the fan. I therefore have no choice but to go out at lunchtime and rag the pants off it . So hopefully all is well.

Andy,

You said the list wasn't a running order, me and Iain (V5) are leaving G'ford about 10, but we'll need to run kinda by 12 if poss, will that be a prob?

Boost sorted now, though its dropped back down to stock levels and I won't be able to get a boost controller fitted in time to raise it up a bit again, so will be happy with around 320bhp.....
