Just 10 minutes from me, so if you don't mind an impreza wagon there I may turn up, and I will try to get my mate who has just rebuilt the engine on his twin turbo legacy, and has a garge in meriden, to attend.

Regret will not make it my car is still in bits.
The company owner did a runner back to Oz. I was just lucky enough to recover my wagon and engine (still seperateed) and get them to a new garage. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Just got back from the Scooby Shootout and had a great day, best time
13.37 @ 109mph not bad for an almost standard TT, there was also another series one Legacy that was quick , so quick it destroyed its gear box on the last run

Tim,

Nice to see your leggy go so well

It's official, the TTs are stealth like, not one single pic of your car in the gallery (unless I've missed it)

On a downward note, I can't make this weekend so I'll be determind to make meet 3.
Have a good 'n' though, look forward to seeing the pics.

I'm going to the Kent Scoobies RR day, sole TT, so when I get my print out I'll post it.

If I can get my hands on some more webspace, may consider a TT register site, with pics n info.

Mark,
Thats right, you dont get a mention or photo when youve just embarassed about 20 Scoobys !!!! Ooh well it was so stealthy it was unreal, my brother was there and after the first few runs I asked if it sounded loud (a la Impreza) and he said not a sound compared to the Impreza just disappeard down the strip, and there's more to come. Sorry You can't make the meet but keep in touch and see you at meet 3. Fancy a trip to the 'ring next year? I'm planning on going around easter, maybe that could be meet 3?
Later Tim

Unfortunatly only 4 of us turned up, but we all had a good natter & the weather was excellent.
Thanks goes to Tim for organising the day.

Yes it was a big let down in terms of numbers, but the 4 that did make it had a good chin wag. No pics either. So anyway onwards and upwards as they say.
Next year I'm going to the 'ring in the spring, pardon the pun. Jon says he is coming as well as our new American/German buddy Andy.
Hi Andy hope you enjoyed our sense of humour etc. Which could be very handy as Andy is familiar with the 'ring. One being a native, and two having been and driven before. Plus my basic pub German is very limited. So any takers please post provisional, we can call it meet Three and then send the photos to the Yahoo group and really get them pissed off, living in Europe does have some advantages. Hi AJ are you coming over for meet Three?
Big thanks to the three that made the effort last Sunday and also those who let me know that they could not make it.... the others shame on you!!!

Meet 3 at the 'ring', sounds like fun

Q. time

Does anyone know if the EJ20R engine has either, solid or hydraulic tappets?
As mine are a little noisey.

Apologies for not being there, but I had a slight 'bump' in Tesco's carpark the week before. Car's still awaiting a new bumper to be shipped from Japan

I'm missing it!

Heh - not really, well under 5mph in torrential rain. But the bumper did what it's designed to do, and crumpled. Bent the bonnet slightly too, and pushed the rad back slightly (didn't break it though). Tip - don't drive a 280bhp Legacy GTB with worn tyres in a greasy, wet carpark without great care

Can't believe the prices for those two items (bumper's about £400, bonnet £425 +£200 shipping). Or maybe I'm just used to Renault 5 prices (bumper £60, bonnet £80)....

Still, hopefully should have it back in a couple of weeks.

Rich.
