28th sounds good to me. Can't make the following weekend due to it being my first off road day in the Landy which is always the first Sunday in the month and I haaaaaaave to go.

Can we put cars to faces? Mine is the Blue Mica 02 Wagon with bits added to it. Sounds as if my boy is the only wagon.

LoFi have you a blue WRX with the headlights on? Yes I remember. A few cars bewteen us and you thundering past at the lights. Is that a standard exhaust?

I shoot at Hammerwood. Where is the off road place. At the actual house?
Go to that nice pub by the golf course, lovely bar maid there!

This thread is getting spookier...I shoot at the 'other' shoot at Cowden/Hammerwood on 1st Sunday and the White Horse Pub you mention (another good pub for a meet...) is literally at the end of my road....I assume you mean the leggy blonde barmaid and not the shorter and older 'lippy' one...;-) Off-road place is on a farm or something just off the main road on the right as you head towards East Grinstead (must be right near where you shoot).

going for that 6th page
We've somehow gone from Nick's original "was it you in Oxted" via Jct5A to which is your local shoot/off-road haunt and who's the best barmaid.

ps barrier is meant to be down @ Clacketts - but if you know the code (now that IS the worst kept secret in Kent)

Our shoot is the first Sunday as well!! Odd....
The bar maid has lips that look like you could stick her to your car window (like a garfield). Know what I mean!

Lovely pub as well. I think the chef has some heavily modded Honda civic there! ALways seem to be 101 massive motorbikes booting it past there as well!

It is great drive from Oxted.

I've not been before but it's called the Mud Factory and sounds as if it's the same place you guys are talking about. I'm just in the process of applying for a Shotgun Licence so I may even pop down to the place you're talking about when I get myself "tooled up".

If it is the same place, then I wouldn't want to live nearby. Landys screaming away in one field with guns popping off in the other - not a NIMBY's paradise!

LOL
The Essex gang only managed 4 pages with their thread earlier this week. Content not quite as esoteric or indeed creative (yachting on A264?!) as this one.

Kent - as for your new topics 1) not sure 2) yes (and cross about it too) shame you won't be able to make the 28th but hopefully it will go well and there will be another.

Beancounter - yes that was me, naturally the exhaust is non-standard (as I suspect is yours)

Matt - wouldn't surprise me if you were your own long lost brother, always thought there was a double type thing going on.

And again it all happens on here during the day, what are you guys doing, surely you should be surfing the Fame Academy site during the day for all the latest gossip ;0

Black sport with front number plate hanging off on A25 tonight sbout 5:40, that belong to anyone. (although lets face it by the time a new reader has waded through this lot they won't remember if it was them or not).

Given there seems to be some interest shall we consider a meet at the Grasshopper on the 28th on? Anyone care to suggest a time?

Yep, 28th deffo sounds like a go-er. I know somebody on a previous page (sorry, but I'm not going through all that again...!) said they know someone at the Grasshopper but if you want me to pop in next week to 'sound out' the management I'd be happy to do so as I'm always round and about during the day time when it's less busy in there...(I can then report back here, but I'm sure they'll be alright baring in mind they'll have a handful of macho shotgun owning, barmaid appreciating scoob owners attracting trade from the passing A25)

As for a time, I again think somebody said in the morning (but they won't be open that early and you can guarantee it'll be raining...) so how about say 11.30ish as a kick off and we can at least then be guaranteed of getting served when they open (trust me, I've been there recently...)and having something left of an afternoon afterwards?

As for the black Sport on the A25 tonight - I was stuck at the Limpsfield traffic lights about that time (black Type R) and waved to a navy classic about that time (got a wave back) but I think my number plate is still in-situ...(At least I hope it is - I'm off to check now) Anyone on here got the blue wagon parked in Safeways about the same time with the gold rims?

Oh, and my favourite colour is purple (just in case my brother who likes to speed on the A264 is reading this...) ;-)

RussBoy - more than happy if you can pop in to the Grasshopper as I will be away until Wednesday. If you want to name drop the manager is called Mr Bickel (not actually spelt like that as he is french so put on you best french accent and try that again).

11:30 onwards sounds like a good start time, time to meet, have a drink and those that want can stay for food (or just stay). Does this suit the majority?

Cool

11:30 sounds fine.

I saw the XOE P1 in Oxted at around 6pm - nice. Does anyone know if the owner is on Scoobynet ? Also, the P1 parked near the Bull in Limpsfield ?

Just to keep the thread going strong - does anyone have any interesting mods to declare ? Mine are fairly tame by Scoobynet standards: MY00, Tek2.5, full Scoobysport decat, K&N 57i = 270bhp.
TD05 + custom map planned for my Christmas present to myself

Andy.

Andy, I can only declare full decat, TEK3, (282bhp) TSL 6-pots, eibachs (TSL geometry) and the normal external and interior stuff. Goes as I like it though. After I've moved house, which should be soonish (anyone want a 2 bed flat?) gonna look at uprated turbo etc.

Ok, my turn.

Full de-cat, ScoobyECU, Leda B Coilovers, Subaru 4 pots (only started with 2 ) and a few other tarty bits.

Dunno about bhp, though.

I've probably least of all mods (only had the Scoob less than a month) but apart from usual Type R gizmos (variable diff, intercooler waterspray etc.) it also has full Jazma exhaust, Tein adjustable suspension, 16 Advans gold alloys, Lexus rears lights and Morrettes. Can only take credit for the last two though...

XOE P1? Nice car, and probably one of the reasons why I chose a Scoob above an Evo as I saw that parked up everyday and always drooled as I walked past! Don't imagine he's a 'netter though as I'm sure he'd have piped up by now! I love those rims of his and if the owner is reading this - I'll gladly give you 50 quid for em if you ever fancy selling! (18" P1 anthracites)

LoFi - I'll practice the French (I may have to come back and edit this later - post a few stellas...) and will approach Mr Bickel at the Grasshopper probably Tuesday lunchtime. Just hope he doesn't recognise me from one of his flower beds at 2am some Friday night/Sat morning...

Question

bother - sounds like meet is going ahead when I'm away.

meanwhile - to drag up one of the many subjects of this meandering 'local' thread : Lancaster 7Oaks. Got a letter today - Lancaster no longer "represent the Brand". Franchise now operated by Oxted Motor Co - but from same premises.
Wierd - and glad didn't buy from them after all.
Anyone know why?

Question

So let me get this straight... The Oxted Motor Co. (which is primarily a Ford dealer and unsurprisingly is based in Oxted) is now also a Subaru dealer and based in Sevenoaks !

It's a strange world ! I think I'll stick with Scoobysport, they seem reliable although it does mean I have to venture into darkest Essex

P1 with full decat. Power engineering rolling road at 307 bhp. Scared me half to death as my car was doing 135mph with some chap revving the hell out of it.
Interesting to note my boost gauge and head up speedo were pretty inaccurate! Have fallen out with Nito who fitted them anyway as he hasn't finished the job yet and I can't get hold of him. C'est la vie!
28 sounds good. Will have to take it easy on the Saturday night then.

what am I doing wrong?
Don't do many miles during the week as train-bound.
so kept eyes peeled on journey to Portsmouth for party saturday night. Westerham/Oxted/M25/A3 (18.45) and back(01.30)- and NOT A SINGLE SCOOB !
Who says they're getting common.

Spotted today:

Silver bugeye wagon going through Oxted today and RussBoy (but without the car).

Cheers for the lights. I stuck them in the back of the car, then forgot they were there, was a bit enthuastic around a roundabout and got home to find all the packing peanuts strewn around the back seats. lol!
