Thank you for your kind thoughts Glenn. What are you and your curbed wheels doing on the 11th October? (Co-incidentally the date for the next East Sussex meet).

Yes a big thanks to Keith and Dave.

But not for the drive in the STi 8 which has caused domestic hell in the household

Hopefully those who had suspension work done are happy with their cars?

Nathan..

Enjoyed the meet today, good to see everyone again. Thanks to Kieth and Julia for arranging a different type of meet. Would be good if people can post up there thoughts on the products available, as I could,nt stay long..

Sorry for having to leave early, but if Paige had missed her party she`d of sulked for days...

Looking forward to the next meet, and the car WILL be clean.

Thanks for the kind words guys. We had fourteen cars turn up, and kits were fitted to four - and none came off again!!!!! Hopefully you guys will post up your thoughts - all I saw were smiles!

Our thanks to Subarman for popping in to help tighten up various nuts and bolts.

Our grateful thanks to Dave (Gatwick Subaru) for coming in to organise things, even though he was recovering from an accident.

To Mike and Gareth (Gatwick Subaru) for working non-stop to keep cars on and off the ramps and out testing. These guys (and Dave) are real enthusiasts and i think it showed today in their willingness to chat and offer advice, and their attention to detail with respect to individual requirements.

Thanks to Ben (Operations Director) for the use of the television/video and "changing area"!!!!!!

Yes, it was good to have "a meeting with a difference" and to see Subarman in all his glory (any pictures Jason?)

Glenn

Two reasons for the 11th - the "wheel repair man" is coming that day in the morning, and the Gatwick Subaru guys want to come in the afternoon to "follow up" on yesterdays modifications - to discuss with the drivers and tweak anything that wants adjusting, and get feedback.

Having said that, there is no reason why we can't have an EastSussexScoobies "Weekend", and do something on the Sunday? Waddya say?

Hopefully there will also be an EastSussexScoobies website coming our way in the near future - watch this space (or a similar space somewhere else)!!!!!!!!

Better just point out that if there had been an award for the exhaust with the most BLING, then Jason would have won it. He would also have won the award in the "shiniest roofbars" category, I'm sure!

My thanks as well for such a great day.
The handling is fantastic. I just can't imgaine how much better it could get, seeing as i've still got original suspension and only 1 strut brace. Its made driving the car a whole new experience agai just like when i first got it

oops, i'm still smiling. It was good to see subarman too, i think ???

Very good Nathan!!!! Now where's Jason got to?

Some of you may not have realised that Dave and Mike are going to come over on the 11th to discuss the results of yesterday, and perform any tweaks, and just generally catch up. They had such a good time yesterday that they want to see us all again!!!!

Steve,

Whiteline rear Anti-roll bar, rear drop links and a Carlos Fandango Laser Wheel alignment to dial out whatever understeer was left after the above was fitted.

P.S I've been 'blinging' my pipe too this arvo

Wow. I 2nd, 3rd, 4th all the comments about the Gatwick Subaru guys. Hats off to Dave, Mike and Garrfy and thank you very much.

All classic owners (or new age) do the rear anti-roll bar/drop link mod! It transforms the car. My observations...

a) The Scoob turns in faster
b) The steering is much more postive
c) Understeer has vanished
d) Higher speed in, through, and out of a corner is a breeze

The best moment I've had so far was with Dave after the 'Geo' has been reset. Coming back to the workshop, full throtle in 3rd, going around the left had bend by the Chailey Hospice ... the front end just stuck to the road and the car kept accelerating. It felt fast, controlled and safe.

Pictures will be up later today. Including 'blingy-est' exhaust!

Here's the piccys enjoy. 19 images so apologies to those with slow Internet access.

I've run out of webspace, so you're missing about 6 images. I'll mail them to whoever wants them.

2 of Scotts
1 of Marks
1 of a few in the carpark
2 of 'Subraman' and Mike

Glen

That's Mike Rice in the middle of the picture. Senior Mechanic (I think) at Subaru Gatwick.

Rear kit (anti-roll bar/drop links and a special bracket that I've got and nobody else has ) £185. That's parts +VAT -discount. Fitting was free, as that was part of the day. I'm sure somoeone has got the full price list .... anyone?

Keith ... strange that the e-mail bounced. I'll send them over a few at a time.

J.
