stockport is the worst area in gmp area for high value car crime. due to the decent homes and cars within its boundry. MOSTLY non confrontational burglaries. cars stolen with keys. audi's are by far the favourite choice for the car thieves. the wilmslow /handforth areas of cheshire are also rich pickings.

Did a recce down by Wheeldon st today.Obviously the car is not there now, but could well fit the scenario.i.e. park it up for a while to see if plod turn up after tracker activation. If not, then they can be fairly sure there is no tracking device and move it out of sight.
I don't think there are any houses inhabited on that road.Very suspicious, me thinks.

Andy,

the alarm was a Cobra 7 series (can't recall the exact number, 7628/7928, something like that)

The alarm was installed by the Subaru dealership (or on behalf of), when I bought the car two years ago.

There is no damage to the locks on the pictures because those photos were taken a couple of weeks ago .i.e. before it was nicked!

I also know that they got in through the passenger side due to trampled flowers, etc on that side of the driveway. They would have been spotted easier on the driver's side.

Thanks for that, Spoon.

Not heard anything at all. It'll be two weeks ago on Saturday (tomorrow), so then we start the negotiation with the Insurers on the payout.what a laught the will be!
I'm currently listing all the bits that were in the car.Looks like that'll be a claim on the house insurance.Car insurers only cover £100, which is a pain as it had my lad's car seat in it which is worth over £100 on it's own.

I've found out I've got to wait 12 months before I can get my number plate back which I'm none too chuffed about either.

Keep on looking guys, and take care of yours.

Unhappy

How come you've got to wait 12 months to get the number plate back?

Sorry about the loss, but I hope you don't get it back now, as it's bound to need some bodywork and it won't have been taken care of.

Did they even silence the alarm from sounding so nothing was heard and roll the car off the drive so there wasn't any scooby burble to listen out for?
