Does the Cooltek stuff need wetting to fit too, or just wrap away?

LOL

Wrap cost £75 delivered.
Havent wrapped a flex up-pipe before, would imagine you would wrap the solid part of the flexi up-pipe and leave the flexi bit unwrapped?

Not sure with regards to wetting the Cooltek stuff sorry.

You generally wrap upto the flexi part, but do not wrap the flexi part.

No, not yet. Last time I spoke with Max was last night. At that time the headers were still clearing US customs (inbound from manufacturing in Taiwan). He's going to drop me an email when they arrive in their disto warehouse, so I can place the order.

Don't worry - as soon as the order is placed and I know (roughly) when they'll be arriving, I'll mail everyone in the goup buy to give them the update.

No, it's not too late for you to order. Please confirm by email in the next two hours if you do want to order.

These headers are unequal length. If you want equal length units, there's another group buy running for OBX headers.

Alan,

He is having problems getting the collector to up-pipe flange sealed properly.
He is sure he will get it fixed, it's just trial and error.
I've to phone him tomorrow afternoon to see if it ready for collection.
I'll let you know

Update
The manifolds are now in the UK. I'll let the buyers know when they're available for collection or shipping. There's a few people who haven't sent their cheques yet. Please send those ASAP otherwise the manifolds will be sat idle waiting for your cheques to clear before I can despatch the components.

You think he has?? Too right he has!! That place is full every night with vehicles ready for work to be done the next day!!

You've got to remember that servicing and repairs is his main income of business.
When a car comes in and takes up a longer time than originally intended, this means that other customers suffer because the mechanics on the car which needs extra time have less time to work on others. You have to balance up what is regular income and what is one off.

Bear in mind that the garage in question is not a multinational which can afford to offset costs for situations like yourself but instead relies in the most part from locals within the village and surrounding areas.

If it were me, i would keep to the regular business instead of attempting to rectify situations which shouldn't have been there in the first place. i.e. if the manifold / up-pipe is a direct replacement, then it should fit like an original part but as we all know, this is not the case as it was designed for the new age car. Perhaps if it was highlighted to the proprietor that there would have been a problem in fitting then maybe the garage would have been better placed to advise on when the job could have been done with the minimum disruption to both yourself and his other customers.

Alan

Hey FATMAN, if somebody fails to pay who's ordered a set with a flexi up pipe then drop me a line and I'll have a set off you.

Cheers
