Another question - Can you still have the manifold with unequal lengths so to maintain the scooby distinctive burble? Also how and when do you want payment?

@ Delboy2: payment will be by cheque when I order the manifolds. I'll then send the manifolds out after the cheques have cleared.

These headers are unequal length, so you will still have some of the 'burble'. However, they're less unequal than the original headers - so the sound will be different.

@ andy-aj: no, as far as I know nobody from the first group buy has received their headers yet. However, some people fitted these headers independently. See this thread.

Update from Max regarding flexible up-pipes and manifold availability:

Hi Ben,

We are making the flex uppipes available with the manifolds for an
additional $100, the price would be $475 with the flex uppipes. The
manifolds are arriving this week and will clear customs around the end of
the week. So we'll be able to start fulfilling orders early next week

Thanks

Max

Sounds good. I think i'd prefer the flexi up-pipe. That would be about £295 plus shipping and taxes. Any idea what the final amount would be shipped to the door?

Also is there any chance we could get a pic from them of the flexi up-pipe? Don't like the idea of buying something i've never seen before. The diameter of this would be useful too.

Tony.

I'll order the lot on my credit card and then people will pay me direct my cheque. I'll find out the precise F/X rate from my credit card company, and let you know what the accurate cost per order truly is. With regards to the taxes, I'm waiting to find out what the folks in the first batch of orders paid. Have they received their manifolds yet?

I've got an idea that someone on S/N works for a courier firm. Who is it? I'll check out options for UK shipping...

Once the suppliers have the stock, I'll mail everyone to get their confirmation of up-pipes (solid/flexi/none). People can also have the option of picking up their kit from me direct, instead of shipping via courier.

Both solid and flexible up-pipes have ~2.25" internal diameter. There's a picture of the flexi unit available here.

@ alan:

Sorry Alan, I do not have a "to the door" price yet. That depends on the cost of the units themselves and also taxes/shipping.

The headers/up-pipes are as follows...
* no up-pipe: 375 USD
* solid up-pipe: 460 USD
* flexi up-pipe: 475 USD

I'm hoping to find out (from the chap who's organising the first batch of the group buy) - details of taxes and shipping. Specifically; I'm trying to find out how much duty they were charged on their order. I'd rather give you as accurate an answer as possible.

If anyone has any tips on the cheapest way to courier the components around the UK - please drop me a line (mail as per profile).

Alternatively - people will have the option of collecting from me. I'll make one whole day available (say, a Saturday) when people could collect if they choose. I'm in Hampshire - individuals will need to let me know whether they need delivery or not.

Thumbs up

Yep think I'll have some of that flexi up pipe action aswell.

But reckon I'll come and pick them up if possible.
