JohnF,

"stop squalking Arron"

John, you really need to stop sounding like some posh kid at a private school in some Dickens novel... next you'll be saying "sticks and stones"...

You need to get a lot more STREET and start putting out some major "disrespec" to these guys

"Bring it on Beyatch" would have been much cooler.. come on m8 - sort it - get some UK Garage in your CD player, and wear a baseball cap etc..

Actually Jonnies hairs' "off the top of his head" but he has plenty down the sides and the back.
Why d'ya think he sold his old westie for a scoob???
Because the westie was open topped and used to play havoc wiv his Bobbie Charlton sweep
p.s my monies on the Baldy man coz Birdy can't drive for ****e

Mike has said he cant make it due to having a life, so it's up to you now Arron.

Are you going to enter and finish off your tyres or are you all mouth again?

Steve, send a mail to chris on enquiries@200plusclub.co.uk to see if you can enter.

Whats this thing you are doing. I fancy a do in my STI 8 on a handling course.
It's easy to dial out the understeer, just left foot brake to keep the turbo spinning.

LOL - keep it up guys - one of the most entertaining threads in ages

John, you should know that I'm no fan of the over inflated prices we pay which is why my last 2 Scoobs came from outside the UK. I was just making a point about why the cars may come as they do. Now if we're talking about the UK cars being a poor relation to the JDM and now the US (weep ) models, you know I'm with you on that one!

My money is on "Lock Stops Felstead" too as we all know Arron can't really drive () but you never know, the Scoob competition has hotted up a little this year hasn't it? (mind you, probably only in the drag stakes, not where it counts on the handling ).

You going to the practise on Sunday John?

Matt

Mike doesnt have to pay for his tyres clutches or anything.
Mind you he drives like a ***** so nothing is likely to ever break.
If you pay my £85 then I`ll go.
I have to be honest it doesnt really pull my string.
Handling circuit yes.
But I would rather wait and do a Bedford track day.
So if you wanna believe I`m wussing out then fair enough.
PS plus its the next Sunday after WSBK at Brands and as you know I to have a life so would like to spend some time with my kids that weekend.
Hope you get beat.
Lots of love Arron.

As usual it's talk the talk but when it comes to walking the walk you trip up. Shame, it would have been fun to see how good the Prodrive upgrades really are.

Andy, there is a test day for this on sunday at elvington airfield, entry is £35 to this one, just turn up and drive. The event proper is on Aug 3rd at elvington, details are at http://www.trackdayplus.co.uk/

My car is a 4 door STi5 TypeRA Limited in Sonic Blue.

Coppice @ Donington

On 2 wheels at 10 of the best last year.

Power sliding at Donington

How it looks during a normal days tootling about

Jonhf,

I was thinking of tracking my standard 02 sti PPP. What kind of damage will i do to the car, and what is your typical tyre wear after an event like this?

John you have supassed yourself with this one
You are a true boy racer.
I`ll show you at Bedford mate.
Just not interested in firking my car up doing 0-60 and stuff.
I know its faster than yours!!!
Its the best handling Subaru I have driven and the most tracteable.
You car may be lighter but I reckon I`ve gotcha whipped!!!
Bring on the rain and ****ty weather cos I`m so tight I dont like 5haggin my tyrs and brakes on dry tarmac.
Thats because my brakes and tyres will be STANDARD fitment eh John.
Bet you turn up with your AP racing six pots and slicks.
Cheat!!!
I`ll still whip your ****!!

LOL

AndyF 440BHP, UK Turbo gearbox in TypeRA 37.91 Seconds on the handling track, fastest car of the day.

JohnF 280BHP, DCCD TypeRA gearbox in TypeRA 37.99 seconds on the handling track, second fastest car of the day.

everything else, slower

You would be a piece of cake Arron.

You missed a great day, i can wait until winter to kick your *** if need be, not at Bedford though.

I did 7 or 8 runs i think, it was too hot to keep on blatting around all day, i spent time between runs thinking about the handling and making changes to optimise it to the course.

I doubt i would get through the gates at Bedford mate, not that i would want to.

Bedford is struck off my list of venues to attend due to the attitude of its owner, i prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

Thanks Dave. Andy's car will be a lot quicker when he sorts out the transmition and handling, hopefully he has that sorted for TOTB2, he will kill me then, but thats OK as i want an Impreza to do well.

I need much more power to be competitive on the course layout they are going to use this year.

John if you have the best facility in the UK I guess you can choose who is going to use it.
Lets not get back on the Beford thread again hey
I firked if I`m gonna take my car round a track and risk crashing it and writing it off!!
Ok If you have insyurance to cope I suppose.
At Bedford that isnt the case as its basically very safe.
Like I said you pay the £85 and I`ll be there on the 3rd.
It just doesnt excite me enough if you take tyres clutches travel and entry cost for me then to harp on about how fast my car is because to me pub figures and magazine articles dont really worry me.
I use it as day to day transport and I know that it is very good.
The fact that you were .8 of a second slower than a more powerfull car is a great achievement but does it really matter????

John's slow "sighting" lap of the handling circuit was one of the fastest of the day still...

Arron mate, you've probably bitten off more than you could chew here. It really isn't about power, it's about control . Tell you what, why not battle it out round the Nurburgring - that'd make an entertaining video

I personally wouldn't run my car because I'd be slower than Richard Whiteley , and I'm a coward, but I'll quite happily hollar from the spectators gallery

Chiark please read my post carefully.
I am not really interseted in driving all the way to Germany in my ROAD car to thrash it round and round 5hagging tyres brakes and God knows what and having the risk of smashing it to **** just so I can come on here and say "ohhh my car was faster than John`s blar blar".
Not that interested mate.
However I am happy to visit a venue in a wet winters day that will not bu33er everything as much and have no risk of smashing up my mota.
Simple really.
I know how good Johns car is I`ve been in it.
Me and him just like a little wind up.
If the 3rd was mor local and say £40 I might consider it.
But thats a dear day to me and not exciting enough.
I can do a whole day on my bike at any venue for that and have much more fun

Indeed, but you did seem to be saying "bring it on at Bedford", when John and quite a few scoobynetters won't go there

I think you will find it was 0.08 of a second But no, of course it doesnt matter, if it mattered i wouldnt have been helping Andy achieve that time with advice on the cars setup.

No doubt we will get to have our fun soon enough, i will still kick your **** though, i do with every other STi TypeUK i come across. The Prodrive kit would have to be incredible to achieve that as you cant drive for $hit.
