Dan because people wont post them properly with proper warnings and they will be all over general 
Why are so many threads locked and moved there always about three in general on the front page.
I just hope the mods dont want a life because it going to increase the amount of work involved 
.

Does anyone know how many posts have been "risque". In the last 2.5 yrs I'ven been looking through this site I can honestly say I've only seen about two such posts. So if such threads get locked so what? While I've personnally got nothing against it creating a special forum is perhaps encouraging people to post such threads. And don't forget I'm sure there's quite a few kids who look at this BBS.

It runs along the same lines as those parents and people who say, if you listen to rap music i.e eminem everyone will go out and shoot people e.t.c i mean please.... come on..?
How many people are going to come on scoobynet see a woman in a bikini and think the whole sight is cheap...??? when these pictures only seem to pop up in 2 of 39 different forums. i.e muppets and members gallery.
People dont post pics all the time now so why when you bring a rule in stating that you can post these pic but they must be clean, will people all of a sudden post this type of pic in every forum.

. My comment was aimed at the fact allowing them would mean they would get posted in general without warnings and if a special forum was set up just for this (as a lot people have requested) then that would cheapen the BB IMHO.

Just my thoughts. I don't give a stuff what appears here, as long as it is at least tenuously related to scoobies, at least in the main forum. Naked people, vacuum cleaners, trainspotters photo collections, whatever. If the subject ain't scooby releated, then stick it in muppets or somewhere else.
I don't think this is a question of taste or prudery, its relevance.

Anyway, back to the point. There are many topics on here that are of no interest to me, for example one about tuning sports or one aboutthe bits available for a my03 sti..... but I just don't read them.

I think its been said a million times, but Ill have a quick say.
I think we should all be adult about this, moderate yourself rather than needing moderators. By this I mean, if your posting the pics, make sure they arent too over the top, and if your viewing them then do so if you want to, and if the topic isnt up your street then stay out and that way avoid being offended, but dont go crying to the mods and spoiling the party for everyone else in the house.
If you have the girly view of what would happen if there was a "hunks cleaning cars thread" wouldnt all the men be offended. Well no, because most of us wouldnt find the need to look at the topic, hence no problem. So off you go, post your pics. I wont be viewing them and I wont be crying about it either.

At the moment we have 100% concensus [I think] from the females who have bothered to reply to this thread that they are not keen on seeing these type of pics, not because of jealousy or being prudish etc as has been suggested. Also a few males, that think there is no place for them on SN. The pics we are referring to are rather 'tame' and I am sure that male users can visit other sites on the net which are far more revealing

What exactly is offensive? There are human bodies FFS and they aren't even naked. If people get offended simply by seeing a man or a woman in a swimsuit then they need to get a life.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, guys, but this is a website about cars. It's not a "lifestyle mag" (FHM) and it isn't an AutoTabloid (I actually counted: there are more **** in max power than cars. Sad. Buy a w@nk mag).
A "proper" car magazine (e.g. Car / Evo) has very little skin on show in it, and TBH is a better magazine for it.
And the last thing I would want is to discourage women from being involved in the car community becuase the feel intimidated by the "lads together look at the swimsuit bird" atmosphere.
My other consideration is bandwidth. If I am not on broadband, I can just about endure the wait for a picture of a car. I really can't be bothered if it's just an airbrushed up girly pic.
Perhaps this sort of thing aught to have it's own forum?

Having a dedicated forum is imo is too over the top, just the same as the fuss the thread in question has caused.

if its tame then i can't see what is up tbh.1000's of blokes under one roof you should be glad tame is as bad as it gets.
i would have thought democracy plays a part here,surely its only a small percentage of users that object.Perhaps its them that should go and visit other sites?

next thing you know there will be tumbleweed down the street and everytime a scooby drives by, women will pick there kids up and drag them in, just because somebody on SN saw some knockers or bum.
overkill? i think so. this is not victorian britain, women now go topless on most beaches and the law are generally reasonable, what are you going to do, never ever go to the beach again and deny yourself the one thing britain has got going for it? please.
This PC malarky is all toss, I mean for Gods sake was it that long ago that women were fighting for this and they all stood on the street corner and had a good ol fashioned Bra burning..
I think the reference was * similar to loaded or FHM*. hardly good quality jazz mags are they? kids of 7 or 8 can freely purchase them.

5 pages, 80 posts and 8459 views. two or three insecure wee little girlies complained and it took a lady mod to close it down.this is not speculation or an assault of any kind, its a fact. multiply this out based on 60 million uk residents...

There's a time and a place guys. Just because nudity is acceptable in some places, it doesn't make it universally so. It's 2003, teachers should be able to teach naked. It's 2003, people who prepare and serve food for a living should be allowed to be naked. It's 2003, everybody should be allowed to be naked, anywhere, anytime. After all, we see it on TV and in the papers frequently, right? We were all born that way, right? That must make it OK.

if blokes can post girly pix, then we should do the same with their pix.....trouble is they show all of our bodies whereas how many totally naked blokes have u seen without a figleaf or two in delicate places?
