Ok,
Well if you go onto www.ferry.co.uk and look at the top right corner there is a section which says "Dont ask you dont get". Click on it and get the phone number.
If you phone them up and give the times and dates you want to sail, then get you haggling head on and offer them a price you want to pay, i started at £40 somedays you may be lucky an some days not, worth trying every day till your happy with the price.
Then pay your dough. Easy.

I might be able to make this. I would probably be bringing an R32 Skyline. Any chance of an extra room being available?

There is a list of local accomodation on Ben Lovejoys site http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/

A lot of it is in other towns than Nurburg though......

A place just up the hill from Zurburg called Pension Jurg Stroof, but I don't have a number, sorry.

Cheers DocJock,
I have tried Ben's site but as you say most of the Hotels are miles away
I will try the Pension place you mention.
Can anyone remember the name of the Bar that we use to watch the video Footage of the days action in, as I think they had rooms available there as well. It was the one that someone I think possibly Harj changed Stef's sticker to read collie-kisser on the Bar.

Are we all going to meet up on the other side and convoy there? The ferry / chunnel lot I mean.

Trying to organise the cheapest / quickest crossing for five cars from Dover to Calais to meet up with everyone, what is you's peeps doing and how much? Tried sorting a deal with Chunnel, but they want 15+ cars to give just a 14 pound discount off the 179 price!

Has anyone got any recommendations?

Swim?

Try the ferry companies, they are usually more amenable to group bookings (think 10 is their base for a discount)

Hi, Matt Collier told me that a few of you are going to the Ring next month. I've been about nine times (so know the route well). But wanted to travel in convoy if possible. My accommodation is all sorted (I booked all my dates ready in January 2003 for the whole year - keen hey?).

Anyway, I've not booked crossing so can do Euro, Hover or Ferry to suit - the ring is open that afternoon? So would like to do some laps then if possible?

Cheers
Trish

Trish,

Openning times that w/e are

12 fr 14.15 - 19.30
13 sa 8.00 - 19.30
14 su 8.00 - 19.30

I'm aiming to be out on track at about 14:30 on the Friday. I'm on the 0800 tunnel crossing with a couple of other Skodas (at the very least). I'll be travelling at bang on the speedlimit the whole way (why waste fuel getting there?). More than welcome to tag along if you want

Jon
