I highly recommend snow/winter tyres at that time of year. Well, if they are good enough at Easter.....

 

Talking of which, what will the weather be like at that time of year?

Is it kind of like spa where its often damp?

 

now, if i'm right... is it normally warm there in september? cos the weather every other time i've been has caught me out! (left home in shorts and t-shirt, got there it was snowing!!!)

so... this'll be my 4th time there, starting to get a tally of laps up now... have to be careful 'cos they say it's the most dangerous time when you start to think you know the 'Ring... that's when it'll kill you.

Ive been meaning to mail you about the westie, i have the zei 220 nearly same spec to yours, if your at the ring then we can chat and you can have a drive and see what you think of mine.

What's the insurance situation with that? The ring is a public road so if i am going to take it for a run i would have to be insured.

 

Mark, i havent booked mine either yet, i am waiting on hearing something next week re a better deal than we seem to be able to get right now, I'll mail you when i know more.

 

hmm... just checking my insurance with regards driving other people's cars while in Germany...

So how uncomfortable is it driving for 5 hours in a westie then
The drive there and back is not something im looking forward to, and of course the 3 hours to dover!

i used to love driving my westie to the ring, it's just so easy to cruise at speed. Mine did have leather seats though.
