I highly recommend snow/winter tyres at that time of year. Well, if they are good enough at Easter.....

Question

now, if i'm right... is it normally warm there in september? cos the weather every other time i've been has caught me out! (left home in shorts and t-shirt, got there it was snowing!!!)

so... this'll be my 4th time there, starting to get a tally of laps up now... have to be careful 'cos they say it's the most dangerous time when you start to think you know the 'Ring... that's when it'll kill you.

will be bearing that in mind...

MattOz, can i book another lap in your Ring taxi, more familiarisation laps...?

O.

RS200 was sold some time ago.

I'll be along in my STi5 RA for a bit of fun, if anyone wants lessons, £300 for half a day will cover my costs.

Did someone say Westfield ZEi220???

sold? ...shame... it was a bit of an animal... then again, since the 1st time i went, your westie's gone, mike's saff's gone... and now the rs has gone... what's the world coming to???

that sounds quite reasonable john... i assume that includes driving your car rather for 12 hours than just passengering?

You wait til you see Noz's Westie.

Can you say 520BHP per tonne?

I am placing bets that you can hear the dump valve from the opposite ends of the track

I know a little bit about driving a 330BHP ZEi220 around the nurburgring Edcase.

At least we are all still here to remember those cars and survived them owbow.

No, that fee is for me to give you tuition in your car, with a run as passenger in mine. Cheap at twice the price.

eww errrr. Thats a very nice offer.

What's the insurance situation with that? The ring is a public road so if i am going to take it for a run i would have to be insured.

hmm... just checking my insurance with regards driving other people's cars while in Germany...

hopefully the opportunity will present itself to do this...

will be hiring something out there anyway... definately not a golf 1.4 this time though... that thing weighed a ton and only had about 24bhp i'm sure! what a slug.

Nice one John, thanks. I did some checking today and Eurotunnel at £178 (its come down), and ferry £120 (this one’s gone up :rolleyes), but would rather do the tunnel. Rich eassssssyyyyy.

Owbow, I hope your colouring your hair blue again, it didn’t look that good all oiled up the last time LOL. How come your not bringing your own ride?

Not long to go now

John - as I keep saying to Noz, rather you two than me

I think us lot are going on the ferry. Usually some deals nearer the time, should be fairly quiet around then.

i used to love driving my westie to the ring, it's just so easy to cruise at speed. Mine did have leather seats though.
