Right, I went back to the site, checked the 'My Orders' section (once I'd found out my password) and it said this:

Your order was recieved on 25.05.2003 to 01:22
The invoice amount of over 192.80 £ will be withdrawn after stock delivery date.
Your order was processed on the 26.05.2003 at 07:57:47 o´clock and the tyres / wheels have been ordered from the warehouse. Sorry, but we cannot tell you the exact delivery date right now, but you will receive it as soon as possible.

Could get interesting if I now get an e-mail changing this!

Yep - I just got the same email. I ordered a set of 205/50/16 tyres yesterday afternoon.

This doesn't bode well. I missed out on the Crossroad offer as well and I desperately need some new tyres!

Anyone got any other cheap sources for a set of Toyos or Goodyears?

Cheers

Marcel

LOL, I got the same e-mail, to be honest I was expecting it as that price was to good to be true and was *probably* a mistake on the website as the week before they were £86 not £48 per tyre.
If they had admitted a mistake that would be ok, but to say they have a shortage of Toyo tyres is taking the p1ss, I'm in no rush so I can wait as long as it takes

Guess what e-mail I got today

Looks like they've made a mistake on pricing and are going to do everything to avoid paying out so to speak...anyone checked their T&C's?

GUYS
I SENT THEM A EMAIL TODAY SAYING I WAS INTERESTED IN SOME
225/40/18`S TOYOS & WAS THE PRICE RIGHT (£262) OR WAS THEIR A MISTAKE MADE.
THE ANSWER I GOT BACK WAS,
THE TOYO TYRES YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ARE NO LONGER
AVAILABLE DUE TO A SEVERE SHORTAGE THAT WE`RE FACING AT THE
MOMENT THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO ADMIT THEY HAVE
MADE A MISTAKE WITH THE PRICE SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE`VE
GOT TO LOOK AROUND FOR SOME MORE DEALS.(TWICE NOW STARTING TO
FEEL LIKE GIVING IN)
CHEERS ANYHOW.

Going back to the mail I got from them, it says

So, those that did order, still have, however 'if' we want to change our order, they would probably be happy, theye haven't cancelled our orders yet!

I ordered 4 Toyos on Friday afternoon of the 23rd for £78 each and have only received an order comfirmation. I will be a bit p1$$ed off if people get the same tyres for under £200 having placed an order a day later.

Well, they quoted the price, and I placed the order, what would annoy the hell out of me, is if they've lied just to cover themselves!
However, I also have 8 of the goodyears ordered, so if they arrive b4 the toyo's, I'll have them instead!

Some bloke called me today from +49 511 93634520 had a foriegn accent from My tyres.net and said that the tyres aren't available for 7-8 weeks and that the order had to be cancelled
He said to re-order again in 8 weeks, probably at £85 per tyre.
Why can't they just admit they screwed up the prices on the website instead of lying about stock.

I've also just had the phone call saying no tyres for 7-8 weeks and that their system only holds orders for 5 weeks. Apparently I would then have to re-order (and low and behold the price would suddenly shoot back up to the normal price!!)

I told him he had a contract with me to supply the tyres for the agreed price (£213 for 4) I said I expected to pay that price if I have to re-order in 5 weeks..the phone went quiet and he said they may go up slightly..by about £5

I told him to put it in writing to me before I would respond.
I also told him about Scoobynet and how he would lose a lot of business, which he appreciated.

I suggest everyone requests the above in writing and mention Scoobynets 20,000 plus memebrs, and then we all try to hold them to the original contract.

As far as I'm concerned I have an agreement with them for the tyres as agreed when I typed in my credit card details AND clicked the AGREE button on their website. It shouldn't make any difference whether their system can only hold orders for 5 weeks. that's there problem not mine.

Has anyone got a copy of their terms and conditions?

Tony

Just read their terms and conditions...

"A. Delivery
1. Offers are not binding. Deliveries, services and quotes are calculated, based on our most recently published prices before delivery or collection as long as stocks last. Due to the supply situation on the tyre market, we must include the right to forfeit delivery, in which case your statutory rights will be respected Your order translates into an offer, which we accept on delivery. If we cannot deliver at the stated time, we will immediately return all advance payments.

2. Products in stock are shipped by Delti.com Ltd within 7 days. In exceptional cases, the delivery time is extended to 30 days. If the delivery time exceeds 30 days, the customer will be notified by email. If the customer cancels the contract of sale after this deadline has been exceeded, the company, Delti.com, will immediately return all advance payments in question, or within 30 days at the latest.
3. Communicated or agreed delivery conditions will only be valid, if confirmed in writing and only serve as a comparison. Supply difficulties due to force majeure, changed legal or official permits or laws, operations, lack of raw materials, labour strikes at Delti.com Ltd or its suppliers will - even in such cases where a fixed delivery date has been set -not be covered by the company. For purposes of clarification “force majeure” means an event, condition or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Delti.com including, without limitation: fire, explosion or other disruption, mechanical breakdown, electrical shotage or blackout, decline or shortage in supply and circumstances rising out of faulty information technology, terrorist attack and / or acts of God. In these cases, the delivery period will be extended automatically until the problems have been resolved. The company Delti.com Ltd is entitled to partial delivery - without prior agreement. The client must accept separate deliveries being part of the same contract within the agreed time. The company Delti.com Ltd reserves the right, in case a product is not available, to deliver a comparable product or to cancel the order. Upon delivery of substitute goods your have the right to cancel the order in which case no return delivery costs are payable to Delti.com. Offers are valid only as long as stocks last. "

Looks like they can do as they please...

If they don't provide me with the tyres near the original price, then I'm voting with my feet and shall be emailing them at Order.mytyres@delti.com to tell them I shall not be purchasing anything from them again..I suggest every Scoobynetter does the same...

You never know, consumer power may win the day..

I'm also going to write to Rainer Binder and Andreas Pruefer, Managing Directors of Delticom Ltd., Glasgow, UK and vent my spleen on them
