You omly have to look at P1_scooby's pic (above) and realise that there is no competition. Anthracite looks dirty. Gold is clean and classy, esp on a P1.

Depends upon YOU really?? Scientific way to decide is as follows:-
Are you MORE man than woman? Yes = Anthracite - NO = Gold
Do you like 'has beens'? Yes = Gold - No = Anthracite
Do you find yourself drawn to ladies clothes? Yes = Gold - No = Anthracite
2 out of 3 is enough to swing it - unless of course you swing BOTH ways!!! then you will STILL be confused!!

I have gold 18's but prefer anthracite. I had a chance to compare both at Lancaster's in Pangbourne today and definitely anthracite.
IMO gold is a tad cliched and P1s look more aggressive with anthracite...and anthracite is the colour Mr Prodrive originally supplied.

seems to me that some peops who choose anthracite on here have issues with masculinity. Why cause if you like gold wheels you supposed to be a poof

I have gold 18" on my P1, an absolute must. There's a few P1's up my way and they all have the 17" anthracite wheels on. And guess what?Every one of them want gold wheels!
Gold wheels make the car look cleaner, notice them better and doesn't look as if they've got brake dust on them all the time.
However What i am against is those who have Novas and Fiestas and those Fast and Furious Wannabes paint their alloys gold. The colour they use looks ******* sh!te.

I think its quite clear from the responses that gold wheels only appeal to hairdressers - you really should put them on a Hyundai Coupe or a Mazda MX-5

It seems to me that everyone who slags off gold wheels, would appear to have issues with their own sexuality/masculinity, that require to be addressed before they put down the classiest looking combo of car/alloy!!!

BTW. I mean 17" anthracites. 18"are not only larger but also wider. Stretching the tyre (In recommended sizes). Producing less flex of sidewalls. Reducing lateral grip. Also lower profile reduces bump absorbtion, causing far more jiterry ride on any thing but smooooth roads.
I Know I tried the package 2 months ago.
Sold 'em 6 weeks ago.
