Only my choice has a proven 180+mph top speed, 400+bhp per tonne and is a genuine Superbike worrier, let alone Supercar slayer 
. No other car mentioned is even in the same county, let alone playing field...

Debadge it \ TDI badge, remove all the skirts \ spoilers \ sports alloys, maybe rebuild it all into an estate or 5dr shell, *then* it would be a Q car.

Well come up with a better contender then
. Your choice has as much chassis control as a Lancia Thema - i.e. ZIP
Take the badges off and it is just an old Sapphire with some alloy wheels. Ultimate stealth!

Seriously tho, nice car, but I think most petrol heads will look to vents in bonnet etc and clock it's a cossie, hence giving it a little space etc.

'My choice'... would be /is my Soarer... which still to this day has the stiffest Monocoque ever made... about 5 times stiffer than any Cosworth I might add... chassis is adjustable to needs... the monocoque isn't... except with roll cages and fully welded spars...

You are proving my point... even someone as 'clever and knowledgeable' as you would be caught out by my car... it is great to be proved right all the time...
It HAS pulled 12½ sec quarter and HAS done 180mph with just 380hp.

A 'Q' car is a 'Quiet' car that is where it came from... it means stealth... anything that has a wing is out... anything that has vents and add-ons is out... anything with rice is out... anything that is 'known' is out... known 'Badges' are out... anything 'boy-racerish is out

Q = Quiet = stealth
The first time it was used was by the Deusenberg Car Co. who have the disticntion of giving the English language 2 such additions...
The term ''Wow.. that's a Doozie'' came from their publicity for the 1930 J model... a stunning car years ahead of its time... and the other came from the same model range...
The 'standard model J had a loud and 'fruity' exhaust and was very ricey in a 1930s' way... but you could order the same car as a 'Q' model... very discrete... and so the 'Q' car was born...

I'd have to agree with the Audi RS4, saw one the other day and they do look nice, but to the average man on the street they don't really stand out - and they're bloody quick!

Actually, you are all way off the mark.
The description "Q cars" was derived from Q ships (Queen ships) which goes back to the first world war and were heavily armed ships disguised as unarmed merchant vessels. The term "Q" came to mean anything that was disguised in this way and got used for cars too.
