It's in my favourite top 5 films.I always wondered why they didn't leave the auto sentry guns in too after reading the book.Did you know the eggs were based on Richard 'O Brians head

one of my all time fave films.
But have you ever wondered why EVERYONE leaves the big ship, you'd have thought a few people, would stay behind - like if it all goes pearshaped (like it did) potentially you'd lose your **** off big mother ship as well as all your men!
Hudson is by far and away the best person in the film.

I liked the SE scene with Newts family when they find the mothership(?), makes more sence as to how the alens got into the complex in the first place.

Even got my mum to watch it this time - got her to watch most of Alien last week, and then Aliens despite her pulling faces when I mentioned it to her telling her she'd love it! And I quote, "I don't have to like all the films you like!!!" Asked her to give it a chance and.....
So we sit down - and she's glued to it, thought it was excellent!! Another convert

Ripley: Well look where your team is, they're right under the central cooling towers.

Ripley: So if they fire their rifles won't they puncture the cooling tower?
Burke: Whoa, whoa, yeah she's right.

Burke: Look that cooling tower is just basically a big nuclear reactor, right? So she's saying one puncture in a line and "Adios, muchachos"
Gorman: Oh great, wonderful. ****!! Uh, look, Apone we can't have any firing going on in there, I uh, I want you to collect ammunition from everyone. Fire units only I want rifles slung.

Class film.... I too have it up there as one of my all time faves..
There are some great lines in it.. I personally thought that the character "Apone" had some class lines...
"Look into my eye"
"yeeeahhh absolutely baaad asses !"
"you secure that sh*t Hudson !" dead funny !!
Hudson's lines were pretty good too..
Vasquez was in Near Dark (a bit like Lost Boys) and was one of John Connor's foster parents in Terminator 2..
The company dude is one of the poofs out of My Two Dads and is in Beverly Hills Cops 1 & 2 too... well cast because he always comes across as being a complete pain in the **** !!
Overall the film has great atmosphere and to me is by far the best of all the films.. the 1st one was pretty good but I didn't rate the 3rd and 4th ones... but that's just me...
Ever wondered how when Ripley gets into Commando-mode at the end and destroys all of the eggs and surrounding aliens that she or Newt conveniently don't get splashed by the acid blood !?!
Still great after 17 years !!
