From the sounds of things You might be traffic plod, perhaps not. I don't condone using mobiles whilst driving, as it is dangerous. But that was one picture worth taking. So relax at bit. £150K plus written off on a test drive!!!
Best wishes
Steve

RB5... you don't need explain yourself to anyone... people are too quick to condemn... your 'fellow feeling/inquisitiveness may one day save some poor souls life... calling it rubber-necking is just a cheap thought less remark...

It is hard to tell but once you look at a picture of each I think it, IMO, is a Vanquish.
Some of the areas I see that give it away are that the smashed Aston has the Vanquishes side repeater (further forward than the DB7); the larger Vanquish grill thing above the repeater (in fact, the whole panel looks larger on the smashed one (ie from the front wheel to the door) as on the Vanquish); the Vanquishes rear window; the Vanquishes 'hips'; the headlights; and the wheels. It also looks like the DB7 has a more obviously separate door lock next to the handle, which I can't see on the wrecked one.
Vanquish:

DB7 GT:

Lol, I may have to go to the opticians first thing on monday if I'm wrong
but thats the way it looks to me.
Either way, damn shame.
Did you see on TV the other week (can't remember on what) Astons special workshop where they straighten them out as well as customise them? Pretty amazing - some crazy things. Also, I heard from a friend that works for Ford that due to the individuality of each Aston, that for some of the major parts they make spares at the same time, whack on the chassis number etc.. and store them in lockers. As such, should that car ever need a major part replaced, it has one that should fit it already and waiting.

Quote from someone on Pistonheads:
"Vanquish on Demo from Grange of Exeter.£139500.Nobody hurt.Prospective customer driven by salesperson.
Impressive demonstration technique."
It also seems that the car was heading in the opposite direction from the way I thought and actually went off the other side of the road first, before ending up where I saw it.
