Just thought I'd start a thread where we could post the final details of the day, save from getting lost amoung my gibberings on other threads

So...I think these are the main points, let me know if there's anything I've missed out


* start times will be posted (by postman, not a SN post ) a week before the date of the rally, we're aiming for cars to leave at 1 minute intervals, however, arrangements can be made for cars to travel in small convoys and start times requested - either contact the organisers direct, or drop us a message at jen@hantsscoobies.plus.com.

* Accomodation details for the start point and end point if you're not up for camping can be found at: the hantsscoobies MENCAP page

* a rally plate and road notes will be provided for each car, so it should be impossible to get lost

* the end of the drive will be at Lufton Manor, Yeovil

* at Lufton Manor, camping will be available, there's is no cost for this - and we have "proper toilets" Phew!

* hog Roast will be provided, and there will be a bar with proceeds going to MENCAP. We're planning on bringing some drink with us so we don't have to pay bar prices all night

* additional entertainment will be live music and some dodgems (), a small charge will be made for the dodgems if you fancy it, but again, all proceeds to MENCAP

* prizes for various categories from the kind sponsors will be announced on arrival at Lufton Manor

* the cafe will be open on Sunday morning for anyone who wants to purchase breakfast, just a 5 minute walk down the road

...and yes, I'll be the one at the side of the road with the map, so if you pass me slow down so I can catch up lol!

'Lo guys,

Right, spoken to Dad and he is going to move the start time of the event back to 0930 hours to give those of us coming some distance a bit of breathing space. Also for the crew from Sussex (Iain and gang) he has put them to start at the end of the rest of us so at the moment, and this is no means set in stone or definate, this should mean a start time of approx 10 am. I hope this helps you guys out a bit
