Nothing at all. It was just a childish retort at your attempt to belittle a player youd love in your team

That's OK then - wouldn't want Ruud - Becks is a different matter - but I'm not sure If we'd want a Man Utd Reject

So is the Premiership NOT a TOP european league?

"Ronnie" is a lard **** and looks more and more like Gascoigne everyday.
It's only the sh1te goalies like Fabien who make him look good.

Yes it's A top league - but not THE top (and probabbly not second top either ).

I'm sure you can go get the stats but English clubs don't do very well in the CL and England don't do very well on the world stage

Van Nistlerooy will break all records this year. There is no doubt, he'll score 30 Premiership goals and win the The Euro Golden Boot with 15 Champions league goals.

Yep flicked ball through over the top of the defence with outside of boot onto Ruud's chest along inside right channel then power volley into the roof of the net 15 yards out. World Class. Ruud is the man.

Taken from Funki's thread, (congratulations BTW)

So I drag my tired and emotional body home to witness not only one of the best Utd performances ive seen in many a year but one of the greatest goals ive ever seen, the pass from Seba was sublime and the finish from Ruud was pure Van Basten, what a goal!!!
I think he meant pure Van Nistlerooy, well he is knackered and Basten is easier to type

Another from Mr Nistlerooy, I am sure he will be the greatest EVER striker in the World.

Ruud is the f*cking Don!! Fast passing Stevie Coppell Robbo and Eric as my favourite Utd player ever.

He is a joy to watch at the moment its as if last season hasnt finished his form is better than ever get your money on Ruud for top scorer this season

ruud may have just pipped henry for the golden boot last year, but henry had 23 assists in the premiership - 10 more than the next man (giggs).
There's no doubt in my mind who the better player is, the real question is which one out of ruud and ron would you play next to henry?

Thanks Alanjack, im loving it, ala KK

The "Van Basten" was based on a goal I saw Marco score for Holland againt russia (I Think??) when they won the euro championship, very similar in the fact he controlled it on his chest whilst turning and volleying into the roof of the net

Anyway he banged another in last night, yet another quality goal, running after a lost cause he chased the enitre Barca team down before rounding that dirty animal Puyol and then the keeper to slot it home.

Ronaldo = Proven on every stage, reference:FIFA Player of the Year
Ruud = Proven in Eng PL (above average European League)

No debate, thought the 4-3 at OT was proof enough. Owen has been European Footballer of the Year, perhaps this thread should be Owen Vs Ronaldo ?

ronaldo is pure class, even the old trafford faithfull knew that last season and gave him standing ovation.
van nislerooy was on fire at the end of last season and i think was the main reason utd won the league,if he can continue to play this way then he will be classed as a great but until then its ronaldo for me...hes been doing it for nearly 10 years at the top

At the top of the injured list and the standing ovation would have been a **** take towards Labia Barthez. saying thanks for letting those goals in not.

World player last three...

Henry , Ronaldo, Zidane.

Looks like Alanjack is worng (of course I might not be right either - but I still don't think Van the man will ever be world player - he aint good enough - period)

Ruud wont get world player award I agree. All he does is score - he doesnt do it with the pace and flair of Henry and he doesnt provide as many assists. But none the less he does it and scores more than Henry - which at the end of the day is what he is paid to do.

Now lets compare goal per game ratio for Ruud and Henry in both European Club and International football. I dont know a decent stats site but my money would be on Ruud.

Simon.

Simon - when you're checking out the stats can you check to see how many of Ruud's goals are penalties - I'm not saying Henry gets more goals in open play than Ruud - I'd just be interested (and can't be arsed looking myself ).

And Henry has scored one more than Ruud so far in the prem this season

3 lost compared to your none and still only 1 point behind you. Usual prem league whereby we dont play well but the rest still cant take a substantial lead.

Looks like our Xmas form is kicking off.

At least Chelsea are dropping points now ha ha. Lets hope Bolton turn the gooners over as well

P1 - I think the **** took a substantial lead last year when you where playing poorly - they continued playing reasonably well and you started playing subliminal stuff !

If you're gonna come on here spouting $hite maybe you should start your post with "I'm gonna spout $hite ..." - It'll save me having to read it.
