FAO All scooby owners
its because you own scoobys thats why you sslag it off but when it comes down to it it is a mental little car and on paper not much can touch it to 110mph
had a landrover 110 4x4 and as much fun as a nissan shopping trolley .
as for quick not really had one on the A500 few weeks ago came past me at a fair rate caught it up in a mile and spanked it's *** was blowing smoke at 3 fig speeds. sad you see 17yrs old driving round in them thinking there the dog's when you could have a rally bred scooby, but you can't expect much more from peeps who wear burbury.

i blew every single one away at elvington last weekend with my nigh on standerd impreza
dont know if they were tuned or not

look good from the front but i hate the back end

well it goes to prove you are all bitches,i own a jap wrx but still admire what mit, nissan, ford and any one that has produced over 200 bhp from a 2 ltr engine,
come on chaps a high performance car is a high performance car whoever makes it.
oh and for the book if you found a properly services gtir all running like the day it left the factory none of your standard scoobs or huge skylines would touch it 0-62mph.
if any one actually done any research before slagging off everything they would have seen book figures the gtir is the fastest production car 0-62 mph ever.......................

Sticky Micky what time did you do? As I was at Elvington for a while and saw a couple of low 12s and 11s 1/4. NON by a scooby. They were A Skyline (600bhp still being run in) a Gtir (don't know) a Maestro (400bhp+) and there was a fast Cossie as well, didn't see his times but I believe 12s at slowest. The Scoobys I did see were pulling 13s, but I'll be honest and admit I didn't see every scooby run, so ther could have been faster. The rain got the better of me.
lol
i didnt check the figures as there was no need, all the ones ive raced, or even seen drive down the road "full pelt" have been slow,
so either your wrong,
or there made so crappy they dont last 5 mins, and slow down after a few miles to such an extent that it makes u look like your lieing about them being the fastest to 62mph
have a nice day

i like em!
wouldn't like to do a clutch or change a turbo in one though!!!
you can get em for 4k now, not much els can touch em at that money
if i couldn't afford a scoob i would have one straight away.

Sticky Micky I just found your times in northern meets. 13.21secs 1/4 in the dry. Good, but not good enough. Beaten (you might not have raced them) by at least 1 skyline,2 Gtirs and a MAESTRO. lol
I think Wrxrob probably meant thr fastest 2lt car at the time (and for sometime since)
0-60 as tested in 1992 on a standard car by this mag was 5.5secs

That ain't no road car.
The long and short of it is - Both the Sunny and the Scoob are very similar in performance.
IMO - The sunny looks like sh1te - so what!
If we're gonna get into the 0-60 thing, look to a certain Ford which will take on all things Jap - and win.

have u seen the meastro go? its very very fast iirc its the fastest front wheel drive car i the country, have u seen the ten of the best dvd`s?
i never raced any of them cars
i was beat once fair and square by a mr2 turbo
other times included me not knowing how the lights worked and overshooting the start line so i was reversing back when the lights went on green.
my car is nigh on standerd bar a cat back zorst and a pannel filter, due to it not being on jap fuel lets just call it a standerd powerd car for arguments sake
if them gtir`s were nigh on standerd and they beat my car then i stand corrected, but i bet they wernt anything BUT modified cars
Sticky Mike, my point is that you said they were all so slow, but the would have thrashed you if you'd gone up against them. They probably weren't standard but I don't know. What (std) power do you have? (about 270bhp ish?)
chrisp, out of your list of 14 cars only 2 are 2litre and the others have upto around 500bhp and cost(ed)upto £250 000, so I would hope they would beat the nissan.
That link I gave you tested a std gtir in 5.5to 60 (cossie 5.7 and integrale 5.9)

It said the fastest production car 0-62mph and no other conditions were put on it
.
So you go to Santa Pod and you roll upto the lights and you say sorry mate I aint racing because I only have a two litre and your car cost twice as much as mine
.
Sure the GTiR was good in its day but even Nissan killed it after 1993 due to low sales.

The 6.1 was a manufacturers figure I guess with 2 poeple and full fuel. The clip was one person on low tanks ??, I am sure the cossie and 'grale would have been quicker with less weight.
